Orly Fowl Play

This may be my favorite polish ever folks!

Thanks to Nory from Fierce Makeup and Nails, I am the proud owner of Orly Fowl Play.  I have such a hard time finding 'it' polishes here in Canada, so I was beyond thrilled when I recieved Fowl Play.  And it did not disappoint!!

Not sure if ya'll are sick of Fowl Play yet, but if you are, then we can't be friends anymore okay?  Just kidding!!  But I would love to know if you guys already own it and what you think of it?



Twinsie Tuesday Hyped up Polish

Welcome to Twinsie Tuesday!

This week's swatch is a 'hyped up' polish that you were disappointed by.  I don't actually own a polish like that.  So I decided to do the hyped up part, without the disappointment!  Because I really looove this new polish of mine!

It's Joe 'Starry', and although it's hard to see the rainbow in the pics, it is my first holo polish.  I still don't own a strong holo, but this is as close as I've gotten, and I lah-ove it!

Fashionista

Ello ello!

It is a gorgeous Spring day here in BC, the sun is shining and all feels right with the world.

I was super excited to pick up a new Revlon shade the other day, Fashionista.  It's a gorgeous deep, smokey blue, that applied really well, 2 thin coats.  I was crazy excited to see Revlon come out with so many new shades, I'm sure I will end up buying them all!

And here she is with Essie Luxe Effects, As Gold As It Gets on top.

Twinsie Tuesday Discontinued Polish

Hiya friends and welcome to another edition of Twinsie Tuesday!

Today we are swatching discontinued polishes.  I had a few limited edition polishes, but I had turned those into frankens, so I'm totes cheating here and someone call me out on it if you know different than me!  I'm guessing that my 2 polishes are discontinued, cuz I haven't seen them around in awhile!

I used Avon Cotton Candy for the base, and Nicole for OPI Gold Texture which is the crackle. 

So am I wrong? haha

Gem Crush, Lady Luck

As soon as I saw the SH Gem Crush swatches all over the place, I knew I had to have them.  So the first one I've bought is Lady Luck. 

It dries super dull and gritty (boooo) but 2 generous coats of SV made it ultra smooth and shiny.  Yay for SV, I don't know what I did without it.  Well I do... I smudged all my mani's and had dull polish!



Twinsie Tuesday

Welcome to Twinsie Tuesday!

This week, in honor of St. Patty's Day, we are all swatching 'green' nails.  I don't often wear green polish, I actually only own 2 greens.  But this one by Nicole is definately my favorite.  It's called One Time Lime, and it's a lovely cream, needs a couple coats to be opaque.  I love how bright and Springy-Summery it feels.  A little bling on my ring finger using NYX Girls Gold Glitz.

Del Sol Color Changing Polish

I've got some awesome polish to show you today!  My sister gave this to me to swatch.  It changes color in the sunlight.  It starts as a pinky coral and turns to purple.  It is so cool!  I have never heard of Del Sol before.

You can see the color changing in each pic, some are in the sun and some are shade to get the true color.

Back in the shade, look at the pretty purple!



It was so fun, I went back inside to do it again!  Here is the 2nd round!

Night Before Rimmel London

Ok, friends, I am in loooove with Night Before by Rimmel.  I saw it in the store yesturday and it was on sale for $1.97.  So for that price I had to pick it up.  In the store it didn't look that fabulous.  But take her out in to the sunlight and magic happens!

I swatched it as soon as I got home, and it was love at first coat.  (But of course I put on 2 more!)  I've never seen that amount of tiny little shimmer bits in a polish before.  A-mazing.

A beautiful blurple base, and so much reddy-purpley shimmer it's unbelievable!

Twinsie Tuesday Jelly Sandwich

Hiya friends!  Welcome to another Twinsie Tuesday.  This week is jelly sandwiches, my faaaaaave!

Here is mine

I used Sally Hansen Blue Me Away, mixed with a lot of clear coat to make a 'jelly' and I used Island Girl Aloha Surf, for my glitter.  One coat of jelly, one coat of glitter, and another coat of jelly = jelly sandwich!
