Electric Blue

Happy Leap Year Day!

I've got another Billie polish to share with you!  This is called Electric Blue.  I love the flash of purple shimmer in this pretty blue.  These Billie's are so easy to apply, and they dry suuupa quick too.  This is 3 really thin coats.

It doesn't dry completely matte, more of a 'pearl' finish.  Next pics are with topcoat.

Twinsie Tuesday Franken

Twinsie Tuesday again!

This week's swatch is a franken.  Can't wait to see what the other girls do, I'm guessing there might not be any 'twins' today as frankening is so unique.

I mixed only 2 polishes for my mani.  I used Ulta Grin and Berry It and WnW Give Me a Price Quote (both from Nory, thanks Doll!)

Here it is:

Welcome to our 2 new ladies Anna and ChiChi :)

Choose Me, Essence

S'up ladies ?!  I have Choose Me by Essence today.  It's another polish from my swap with Nory, she picked some awesome polishes for me!

Choose Me is a pretty turquoise, jelly-ish base with tons of gold and blue glass flecks floating in it.  It went on so nicely, 2 thin coats.

I put a coat of Essie Matte About You, cuz I really wanted to see what this would look like mattified.  I really liked the look of it matte, and I wore it like that for a while, but then put a shiny top coat on and watched it come alive again.

french stamp

Hiya friends

Oooh I was so happy to see that I've hit 200 followers!  It' so exciting for me, and I'm glad to know people are enjoying my little blog.  So thanks ya'll.

For this mani I did a purple tip, and stamped my favorite design over the whole nail.  The purple is Joe Violet, the white is SH Whirlwind White, and the plate is M71 I believe.

Peach

Happy Thursday, the week is almost over!

I started swatching Revlon Coral Me Wild again, and I mixed in some yellow to see if I could lighten it (I don't own a 'peach')  So my ring and pinky finger has Coral Me Wild mixed with yellow to make a softer creamy orange-peach color.

Love My Blackberry

Hello e'rybody!

I've got Ulta's Love My Blackberry today to show you.  I got this from Nory again in our swap :)  It's my first Ulta polish too.  We don't get them here in Canada.  Booo

Love My Blackberry looks quite blue with just the first coat, but as you add the second the purple shimmer gives it a 'purple' look overall.

Lots of pretty shimmer showed up under my lamp light.

Twinsie Tuesday Matte Polish

 Happy Twinsie Tuesday Ladies!

This week is a Matte polish.  I chose Powder Puff, because well, I'm a little obsessed with it right now!  It is a Revlon from their Matte Suede collection.  I also have Fire Fox (see it here) from the collection and love that one too!  There is a really pretty blue shimmer in Powder Puff that can be seen in direct sunlight.

Looking foward to seeing what the other twinsie ladies swatch!  Go check em out too!

Electric Coral

Wowza this is a bright polish!  Electric Coral is right!   I'm thinking it will be a pedicure color this Summer, not so much on my fingers.

Billie is a line of crazy colored polishes at dollar stores in Canada.  They are now toluene and formaldehyde free, and they don't stink as much as they used to!

This dried to a suede finish, and while it looked cool matte, I knew a coat of gloss would bring out the blurple shimmer I could see hiding in there.

This is with SV

Zoya Dita

I got the coolest nail package in the mail from Nory at Fierce Makeup and Nails!  She is such a sweetheart and I'm so glad I met her through the nail blog community!  Friends being made people!!  She sent me my first Zoya polish ever.  Dita.  A lovely rich berry color, that my camera would just not capture.  But here are some pics anyway.

My camera picked the color up much more red than it actually is.

Under my lamp

Oh man, this polish applied sooooo perfectly!  Opaque in one flawless coat!

Grape Sprinkle Sandwich

Happy Friday Friends!

I used the purple bar glitter this time with Revlon Powder Puff and made a grape sprinkle sandwich.

I love Powder Puff's hidden shimmer that comes alive in the sunlight.

Hope your weekend is absolutely fabulous!

Cloud Mani

Hello Lovelies,

I tried a cloud mani!  I'm not sure who came up with this cute design, but I absolutely love it!  My girls will definately be sporting some cloud mani's soon!

The burgundy base is Avon Midnight Plum, the first cloud is Loreal Party Hop and the pink part of the cloud is Avon Cotton Candy.

Next time I'll use more opaque colors.  I had to do the coats quite thick to get coverage, so the whole mani ended up being too thick for my liking.

This is the first set of clouds using Party Hop

And here is Midnight Plum on it's own.  This polish was super streaky and left bald spots after 3 coats.  Annoying!

Revlon Fire Fox

Revlon Fire Fox is a super pretty reddish coral that is supposed to be a matte polish.  While it's definately not a gloss finish, there is a sheen to it.  I played around a bit with Essie Matte about You, a shiny top coat, some glitter and a coat of SV.

Here is Fire Fox on it's own:

Here it is with  a coat of Essie Matte About You

Here it is with a glossy top coat of Wet and Wild

I love how this brings out the lovely glowy glitter in Fire Fox

And with a bit of Milani Gold Glitz on the tips, and SV.

So let's see, this is 7 coats of polish!  It was fun :)
