Jelly Sandwich, Essie and W&W

Mmmmmm, I love jelly sandwiches!

I used the beautiful Secret Story by Essie as my jelly base, and Beautiful, But Dangerous by Wet and Wild for my glitter.  Another coat of SS on top and I loooooved this sandwich!

Beautiful, But Dangerous is a super fun glitter.  It has blue, gold, black and pink small hexes.  Obviously, the pink ones kinda disappeared in this mani.  I'd like to try this in a white jelly.



Revlon Popular aka Starry Pink Twinsie Tuesday

Holla!  It's Twinsie Tuesday!

I'm so excited for this week's Twinsie post!  We are swatching our favorite BRAND of polish.  This was very easy for me, REVLON all the way!  While there are some other polishes that I love (Essie, Orly, OPI, Butter London...oh should I stop now?) it's Revlon that I keep going back to.

I love Revlon's formula and colors, and their price point.  And I absolutely LOVE that they make dupes of more expensive brands. 

For my swatch, I used Popular aka Starry Pink.  It's a favorite.

Billie Anxiety

Yay for Friday!

I lurrrrve this glitter, but really dislike it's name.  Seriously, what's up with that name?  Anxiety?

Anyhoo, "Anxiety" has loads of fun glitter in a green jelly base.  It has silver, gold, purple, blue and a lot of different greens in there.  This was 2 coats, and I put it over top of Sinful Colors Mint Apple that I wore the other day.

For a bit more fun, I added some NYX Prismatic Gold to the tips.  I love those holo gold hex's!

Twinsie Tuesday Duochrome

Hello hello, welcome to Twisie Tuesday, Duochrome/metallic edition.

I chose Sinful Colors Let Me Go as my duochrome polish.  I already had Rimmel Night Before on as a mani, so I layered Let Me Go over top (it is too sheer to wear on its own)  Let Me Go is acutally quite light, and looks mostly purple in the bottle, but on the nail it goes verrrry green.  Especially when layered over a dark color.  It was shifting blue a lot too, because of the deep purple in Night Before.

Mint Apple

Hiya!

I'm so excited to show you Mint Apple by Sinful Colors !  The wonderful Amanda picked it up for me in one of our swaps, and I was sooo excited, I swatched it straight away!

Mint Apple is a beautiful green with gold shimmer.  The shimmer is very visible which I love.  I plan to wear this a lot in the Summer, if Summer ever comes to BC this year!

I did 2 coats of Mint Apple, with no top coat.



Essence, A Lovely Secret

Shoppers Drug Mart in Canada recently got the Essence brand of polishes.  This girl is super happy about that!  I picked up A Lovely Secret right away. 

A Lovely Secret is a beautiful lavendar polish with a gorgeous pinky/purple shimmer.  But the interesting thing with this polish is that it also has some matte flecks through out it as well.  They look like tiny grey specks. 

I really love soft colors like this, and I love that it's unique with the shiny and matte shimmer.

Twinsie Tuesday Half Moon

Twinsie Tuesday is back again, this week we are showing a half moon mani, using a pastel and a neon.

I used Orly Prelude to a Kiss as my pastel.  It's a soft orange cream pastel.  And I used Billie Electric Fuschia as my neon.  It's a neon pink with a lot of blue shimmer.  It showed up like crazay  in some pics.

OPI Bastille My Heart

Good morning!

I have the beautiful shimmery, rich red that is Bastille My Heart to show you today.  Another polish from Nory (yes she is the coolest swap buddy!)  

I have so many good things to say about this polish.  It has turned into my favorite red ever.  The pics don't even begin to show the depth and shimmer of this polish.  In person, it is a much deeper red, and it is what I would call a candy apple.  So gorg.

I added Sinful Colors Pinky Glitter and did a gradient on the tips.

Butter London The Black Knight

Hello Darlin's

I am so excited to show you my first ever Butter London!  The fabulous Nory sent it to me and I am in lurve!  I know you've all seen The Black Knight a hundred times, but I'm going to show it to you again!  Cuz seriously, it's soooo beautiful.

Isn't that glitter so beautiful?!  I used 2 thin coats of TBK over 1 coat of W&W Black Cream for my index, middle and ring finger, and for my pinky I just used 3 coats of TBK.  They looked the same to me.



And how flippin' cute is this little birdie on the lid?  I love cute touches like this.

Water Color

Ever done a mani that looks so much better in person than it does in a macro shot?  That's how I feel about this one.  I wanted to try a water color mani after seeing it here.  It's a really easy process that creates a fun look.  A messy look, which I'm not used to, but still fun.

I started by painting my nails white with Sally Hansen Whirlwind White.  Then I put a coat of Seche Vite over top.  Then I put a blob of Sinful Colors Folly (pink) on my table and dipped a nail art brush in acetone and mixed that into Folly to dilute the color.  I just added it here and there to my nails.  Then I did the same thing with SH Mellow Yellow next, and SH Blue Me Away as my last color.

Twinsie Tuesday Room Color

Good morning!  This weeks Twinsie Tuesday edition is a polish that is the same color as your room.  Mine is a bit boring...grey with taupe undertones.  So I chose Did You 'Ear About Van Gogh by OPI, sent to me by the lovely Nory.  It is a wee bit more taupe-y than my room, but close enough.

Orly, You're Blushing

Monday, Monday....

I picked up some mini bottles of the Cool Romance Collection by Orly from Winners.  (Love that store!)  My pack came with Jealous, Much? (swatched here) You're Blushing, Faint of Heart and Prelude to a Kiss.  I really wish it would have come with Artificial Sweetner, but hopefully I can pick that up somewhere.

You're Blushing is a beautiful dusty, purple.  It definately has a grey/taupe tone to it, which I love.  I think this will be my new 'go-to' color.
