It's crackle polish day at Twinsie Tuesdays!
I am not a huge crackle fan, but I actually really liked the way this looked on my nails. My pictures, on the other hand, are awful. I feel like they look like a horror movie. That's weird.
My base color is NYC Times Square. On it's own it is a gorgeous jelly/cream, I'll do a post of it on it's own for sure. Application was amazing, one super easy coat.
The crackle is Maybelline Shredded in Carbon Frost. I found this formula strange, very watery, it took me a few times to get the crackle to actually work. You have to have the perfect amount on your brush and be super quick.
Have a peek at the other Twinsie's to see their crackle mani's!
I think it is fun though! I love red+black together. Can't actually say I've seen a red+black crackle mani before!
ReplyDeleteI like the colors together, but yeah, I'm with you. Not a crackle fan.
ReplyDeleteCool combo
ReplyDeleteThe colors look great together, and I love the base color <3
ReplyDeleteI love red and black together! I have a red crackle, but it's not pigmented enough to show over black.
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI love the base color! I am "meh" about crackle lately, but I like to revisit it now and again :)
ReplyDeleteI looovvee that NYC polish! The crackle looks great over the squishy jelly finish!
ReplyDeleteI really like the color combo on this!
ReplyDeleteThis looks great! When I first got my crackles the first mani I tried was red and black. I was disappointed when the red wouldn't show up over black polish. It's also disappointing when you have to put in extra work to make a crackle work.
ReplyDeleteWOAHHHHH! This crackle looks AWESOME on you!
ReplyDeleteI likey!
