I cannot believe that it has taken me so long to finally own Essie Licorice!  I totally see what all the hype is about with this beauty, it is the perfect one coat black!

Essie Licorice is a gorgeous black cream with the most perfect formula.  It truly is a one coater, this will for sure be my go-to black polish from now on!

Peanuts by OPI 2014

*PRESS SAMPLE

Hiya Dolls

I have two polishes to show you today from the new Peanuts by OPI Collection for Halloween 2014.  This collection was inspired by "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown."  It has four new limited edition polishes, a sunny yellow and a chic black cream and two black-based glitters.

First up is Who Are You Calling Bossy!?! inspired by Lucy's raven hair.  This gorgeous black cream is a one coater!

Next is To Be Or Not To Beagle which is inspired by Snoopy's happy dance of colors.  This is a super fun glitter topper that has lots of black mini glitter and black mini bar glitters with larger hex glitters in red, peach, yellow, white and blue.

And because the mini and bar glitters totally don't show up on a black base, I added a coat of To Be Or Not To Beagle over OPI Sorry I'm Fizzy Today.

The Peanuts by OPI Collection is available as of early September 2014.  Will you be picking up any polishes from this fun collection?

Joe Fresh Granite Glow

Hey Dolls

I have another new Joe Fresh polish from their Fall collection to show you today called Granite GlowGranite Glow is a stunning black linear holo!  I love that they finally put out a holo polish.

I wasn't able to capture the linear rainbow under my artificial light, but it definitely shows up in the sunshine!  This could have been a one coater, but I always do two for my swatches.  Formula was smooth and perfect.

I don't think I will ever tire of holo's!  How about you?

Matte and Shiny Nails, Twinsie Tuesday

Hey there Dolls!

Hope you all had a wonderful Easter weekend!

I am so glad that I finally did a matte and shiny mani, why has it taken me this long to try it?  The first matte and shiny mani I saw was all black, and I have wanted to try it for 2 years now!

I used Wet n Wild Black Creme and Essie Matte About You for my mani.  I used washi tape for the chevron design.

Orly Androgynie

Hey Dolls!

I can't believe I've had Orly Androgynie sitting on my untried shelf for long.  This polish is so gorgeous.  There are blue, green and orange hex glitters along with gold flakies and tiny holo glitters in a soft black base.

Do you guys have Androgynie and love it like me?

Twinsie Tuesday Splatter Mani

Hiya Dolls

For TT today we all tried our hand at a Splatter Mani.  I played it safe and just used black and white for my splatter effect.

My base coat is Barry M Gelly in Prickly Pear which is the most gorgeous lavender.  I splattered Wet & Wild Black first using the straw method and then OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls next.  Two generous coats of my fave top coat NYC Grand Central Station made it nice and smooth.  I really love how this turned out.

Twinsie Tuesday Copycat

Hello hello!

For Twinsie Tuesday this week, we are doing another Copycat mani.  I am copying the darling Tara from Polishy Of Truth.  When I think of Tara, I think of GLITTERBOMB!  So I chose the glitteriest (!?!) polish I own, which is China Glaze, Some Like It Haute.

This polish is really Haute :)  Loads of silver micro glitter and larger holo glitters give this a gunmetal look.  I layered two coats of a black creme.

Here's a pic of Tara's glittery nails.  This is China Glaze Tinsel Town.

Check out the other copycat Twinsie's today!

Twinsie Tuesday School Colors

Welcome to Twinsie Tuesday!

We are showing some school spirit this week by showing off some mani's in our school colors.  I'm trying to rock this mani, but I hated the colors in high school and apparently I still hate them!  My school's colors were yellow and black.  Love black, and love yellow, but together it's just not my thing.

I used three thin coats of Sally Hansen Mellow Yellow and the polka dots are Wet and Wild Black Creme.

Twinsie Tuesday Car Color Mani

Hello friendy-friends!

I am super excited for this week's Twinsie Tuesday mani!  We are showing polish the same color as our cars!

I drive a black '08 Malibu.  When I saw Bowery by NYC, I knew it was perfect.  My car paint looks black overall, but when you get really close there is tons of silver shimmer.  My pic shows up the shimmer a little too much!  But it definately has that overall black look.

Looking forward to seeing what the other twinsie's are rocking/driving this week!

Twinsie Tuesday Crackle

It's crackle polish day at Twinsie Tuesdays!

I am not a huge crackle fan, but I actually really liked the way this looked on my nails.  My pictures, on the other hand, are awful.  I feel like they look like a horror movie.  That's weird.

My base color is NYC Times Square.  On it's own it is a gorgeous jelly/cream, I'll do a post of it on it's own for sure.  Application was amazing, one super easy coat.

The crackle is Maybelline Shredded in Carbon Frost.  I found this formula strange, very watery, it took me a few times to get the crackle to actually work.  You have to have the perfect amount on your brush and be super quick.

Have a peek at the other Twinsie's to see their crackle mani's!

What's Your Name?

Hello friends!

I've got a beautiful polish to show you today, sent to me by my lovely friend Amanda.  It is Sinful Colors What's Your Name?  And she is a beauty, no?

Isn't that greeny blue shimmer amazing?!  Makes me think of the universe.  In a couple of the bottle shots you can see a shift to pink/purple, but that didn't show up on the nail.

I used 3 thin coats to ensure the coverage I like.  This polish was the perfect consistency for me, so easy to work with.

Butter London The Black Knight

Hello Darlin's

I am so excited to show you my first ever Butter London!  The fabulous Nory sent it to me and I am in lurve!  I know you've all seen The Black Knight a hundred times, but I'm going to show it to you again!  Cuz seriously, it's soooo beautiful.

Isn't that glitter so beautiful?!  I used 2 thin coats of TBK over 1 coat of W&W Black Cream for my index, middle and ring finger, and for my pinky I just used 3 coats of TBK.  They looked the same to me.

And how flippin' cute is this little birdie on the lid?  I love cute touches like this.

Do you all love Butter London as much as me?

Enter my giveaway here, if you haven't already!

Half Moon Mani, Cinderella

Yay for Friday!  The weekend is a-coming :)

I did another half moon mani, covering the Cinderella with Wet and Wild Black Creme.  I used my girl's smiley face stickers as the stencil again!  I hadn't put a top coat over Cinderella, and it was pretty bumpy, so I didn't get a nice crisp line in the photo.

Have a great weekend friends!

Neutral with a Twist

I always love the idea a nude polish, but once it's on me, I don't like it anymore.  I guess I just haven't found the right one for me yet.

This is Revlon Grey Suede (really strange name, does not fit the polish at all!)  It is a pretty neutral, but not the best shade for me.  But with some black stamping?  Then I'm all over it!  I used plate M73 and W&W black Cream.

I put a coat of Seche Vite over top, but it pulled some of the black polish and made some streaks (pointer finger).  Boooo!  Anyone know of a top coat that doesn't do that?

Black Sheep

I made this franken yesturday using W&W Black Cream, a bit of Rimmel Vintage, some clear and a few hex glitters.   It ended up a bit more shimmery than I had wanted, but I still really like it.

my first freehand art and a winner

First of all, thank you to everyone who entered my 75 follower giveaway!  I loved reading all your comments and am excited to check out your blogs.  Ok, so the winner is Nailed It.  I emailed her, if there's no reply within 48 hours, I'll pick a new winner. Congrats to her!

So this mani is my first try at some free hand nail art.  My daughter went for her first pedicure (she's 8) and they did the coolest design on her toe, so I tried to re-create it.  Man, it's hard to do!  So don't look too close!  Oh and the main color is Revlon Coral Me Wild, and I used a little SH Strobe Light glitter on the leaves.

Seriously, stop looking so close!

I'm going to keep practising nail art cuz it was actually pretty fun to do!

Galaxy nails

Oh my goodness I had sooo much fun doing this galaxy mani!  I've wanted to try it for a while now, but was a little intimidated by all the amazing ones out there.  But I love how it turned out and it was so super easy.  Just random sponging everywhere!

Hello to all the new followers too!  It's nice to meet you ladies : )

Have any of you done a galaxy mani?  I'd love to have a look!

My giveaway is open til Friday!
