Twinsie Tuesday Circus Inspired

Hey Dolls, welcome to Twinsie Tuesday.

Today's theme is the Circus.  I wasn't too excited about this weeks theme, until, I got started on my mani.  I really love how it turned out!

For my pointer I used striping tape from The Born Pretty Store.  The striping tape was so perfect and easy to use.  I used mine as a template and just peeled it off after for perfectly straight lines.  The polishes on my pointer are Wet n Wild White and Nicole by OPI Kourt Is Red-y For A Pedi.  That's the 'Big Top Tent'.

My middle finger is inspired by the 'tights' of the acrobatics using Zoya Shelby.  My ring finger is inspired by the Elephants (with a little sparkle!) using Joe Starry.  And since the circus is so full of colors, I just decided to go green for my pinky with Bettina Ortensia.

Be sure to check out the Twinsie's to see their take on the Circus:

Twinsie Tuesday Splatter Mani

Hiya Dolls

For TT today we all tried our hand at a Splatter Mani.  I played it safe and just used black and white for my splatter effect.

My base coat is Barry M Gelly in Prickly Pear which is the most gorgeous lavender.  I splattered Wet & Wild Black first using the straw method and then OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls next.  Two generous coats of my fave top coat NYC Grand Central Station made it nice and smooth.  I really love how this turned out.

Twinsie Tuesday Nationality

Hiya Dolls

Twinsie Tuesday is here again!  We are showing our Nationalities this week.  My parents are both British and Irish.  I was not about to attempt any flag nail art, so I just stuck with the British flag colors, and for my Irish heritage I free handed a little clover leaf.  It looked much cuter in person!

The white polish is Wet n Wild White.  The blue is Zoya Song, such a pretty blue!  The red is OPI Nicole Kourt is Red-y for a Pedi.  And the green clover is OPI Nicole One Time Lime.

Be sure to check out the other Twinsie's!

Merry Christmas, Twinsie Tuesday

Merry Christmas everybody!

Christmas is my favorite time of year.  Jesus' birthday, family, friends, snow, eggnog, turkey dinner, carols, presents, almond rocca and Christmas mani's!

For my Christmas mani (on Twinsie Tuesday!) I used Color Club Berry And Bright which is the beautiful red foil/shimmer.  My favorite white OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls (big surprise there!) ACO, which is the red glitter, and Wet And Wild

Twinsie Tuesday, Chanukuh

Welcome to Twinsie Tuesday!
We are showing a Chanukuh inspired mani today!
I decided to use white, blue and gold/yellow for my colors.  My white is OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls (my favorite white of all time!)  The blue is China Glaze Dorothy Who? a lovely silver glitter in a blue base.  My gold/yellow is Wet and Wild Give Me A Price Quote, which is chocked full of gold bar glitter.

Be sure to check out my other Twinsie's and take a peek at their Hanukkah inspired mani's.

Twinsie Tuesday, Halloween Mani

Welcome to Twinsie Tuesday!

We are showing off some Halloween mani's today!  Halloween is my least favorite holiday... but I do love the candy part!  Mmmm mmmm.

On my index finger I used Barielle Soho at Night, middle finger is OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls, ring finger is Wet & Wild Black Creme and pinky is Sinful Colors Hazard.  The glitter on my middle and pinky fingers is OPI Bring on the Bling, and the glitter over black is Essence Space Queen.

Excited to see my fellow Twinsie's Halloween inspired mani's!

Styled Out, Maybelline

Ahhh Monday's.  I love them.  Seriously.  It's when I get my house back in order from the weekend, and plan and organize my week.  Looks like lots of beach days ahead with my girlies!  I love Summer time.

I am so in love with Styled Out.  It's from the Maybelline Color Show Denims collection.  The formula was so amazing.  I could have gotten away with just one coat but for some reason that just didn't feel right?

It's a beautiful deep denim blue with fabulous silver shimmery shimmer :)  It dried on the matte side.

Here it is with a top coat.

And with a glitter coat of Wet & Wild Light With Caution.  There's a lot of fun glitters in LWC.  I see big gold and Pink hexes, and smal blue, green, pink and gold squares.

Jumble

I am so thankful for the Summer weather we are getting in Southern BC.  Finally!

I've got a lovely jumble of polishes to show you today.  I have Wet and Wild Blue Wants to be a Millionaire layered over Wet and Wild Black Cream.

This is the pretty lilac jelly from the OPI Ballet Collection.  Care to Danse looks more pink on the nail than purple, but it's still very pretty.

LA Girl Uninhibited over OPI Did You 'Ear About Van Gogh?

And I reswatched my namesake Grape Fizz by Revlon.  This is such a hard polish tophotograph.  I feel like it just doesn't capture the beauty of this lovely polish.  The soft mini flakies just float around in this gorgeous jelly base.  Plus it smells like grape gum!

Summer Lovin, Jessica

Hello my lovely's.

Summer Lovin is a peachy/nude/pastely cream polish that I am in love with.  Thank you Nory-girl for sending it to me, it's my first Jessica, and I love her :)

I added a coat of Sinful Colors Out Of This World, for a little sparkle!  I love this polish, thank you Amanda!

And then......wanted to do a jelly sanwich, so I used W&W Beautiful, But Dangerous, and a coat of Summer Lovin on top.

My Boyfriend Scales Walls

I've got the yummy white polish from the OPI Spiderman collection to show you today.  Thanks Nory-girl!  My Boyfriend Scales Walls is lovely white cream with just the slightest hint of grey, and I swear I see a blue tint, but I can't find anywhere online that agrees with me!

And then for funzies, I added a coat of W&W Light With Caution and a layer of OPI Don't Touch My Tutu from the Ballet Collection to make a jelly sandwich.

Light With Caution is such a pretty glitter.  I love the small iridescent glitter sprinkled in there.

Sunny Side Up, Wet and Wild

I wore Sunny Side Up for 4 days without one single chip or even any tip wear!  I'm pretty impressed.  And I got tons of compliments on this bright orange.

Sunny Side Up by Wet and Wild has a cream finish, a bit on the thick side, so application was a little tricky.  A generous top coat made it look less bumpy.

This is with flash

Natural light, this one is the most color accurate.

Artificial light.

Jelly Sandwich, Essie and W&W

Mmmmmm, I love jelly sandwiches!

I used the beautiful Secret Story by Essie as my jelly base, and Beautiful, But Dangerous by Wet and Wild for my glitter.  Another coat of SS on top and I loooooved this sandwich!

Beautiful, But Dangerous is a super fun glitter.  It has blue, gold, black and pink small hexes.  Obviously, the pink ones kinda disappeared in this mani.  I'd like to try this in a white jelly.

Half Moon Mani, Cinderella

Yay for Friday!  The weekend is a-coming :)

I did another half moon mani, covering the Cinderella with Wet and Wild Black Creme.  I used my girl's smiley face stickers as the stencil again!  I hadn't put a top coat over Cinderella, and it was pretty bumpy, so I didn't get a nice crisp line in the photo.

Have a great weekend friends!

Twinsie Tuesday

Good morning friends!

This Twinsie Tuesday edition is your most hated polish!  It took me a sec to find it, oh but I found her!  Why do I still own a polish I hate? Haha

This shimmery yellow is The Wonder Yellows by W&W.  I do like soft buttery yellows but this one just looks awful on me.

Welcome to our newest Twinsie Tuesday members Cordia and Tara.  This group of women are amazing, please check them out!

Twinsie Tuesday Tape Mani

This weeks edition of Twinsie Tuesday is Tape Mani's.

I have never tried a tape mani before, and I can say that this was suuuuper hard.  I tried so many different ways and hated all of them!  I finally settled for what I've got going in these pics.

I used LA Girls Extreme, Joe Fresh Starry and W&W Black Creme.

I can't wait to see what the others have come up with this week! Check, check, check it out!

Neutral with a Twist

I always love the idea a nude polish, but once it's on me, I don't like it anymore.  I guess I just haven't found the right one for me yet.

This is Revlon Grey Suede (really strange name, does not fit the polish at all!)  It is a pretty neutral, but not the best shade for me.  But with some black stamping?  Then I'm all over it!  I used plate M73 and W&W black Cream.

I put a coat of Seche Vite over top, but it pulled some of the black polish and made some streaks (pointer finger).  Boooo!  Anyone know of a top coat that doesn't do that?
