OPI Coca-Cola Two To Celebrate Duo

PRESS SAMPLES

Hey Dolls!

I have the two new OPI Coca-Cola polishes to share with you today.  These were added to the nine-polish Coca-Cola Collection that came out last year (my swatches here).  These two limited edition polishes were made to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Coca-Cola's green glass bottles.

This silvery foil is called Centennial Celebration.  This is a slight variation of your regular silver foil, it has little gold flecks that gives it a champagne feel on the nail.  I did three thin coats for my swatch.

Visions of Georgia Green is inspired by the green glass bottle.  It is a frosty green with green and pink flecks and a pink duochrome.  I liked this polish way more than I thought I would.  Three thin coats for my swatch.

These two beauties will be available in July 2015.  Will you be picking them up?

Essie Winter 2014 Collection

Hey Dolls

I picked up three of the six polishes from the Essie Winter 2014 Collection.  I think this is a really fun collection with some very unexpected colors!

First up is Double Breasted Jacket.  This is a gorgeous raspberry red with a cream finish.  Super opaque, I could have gotten away with one coat (but I always do two).

Bump Up The Pumps is the one that really surprised me.  This coral is absolutely lovely, and a beautiful addition to this Winter Collection.  I also have the gorgeous Jiggle Hi, Jiggle Low as an accent on my ring finger.  This is not just your average silver foil, it definitely has some gold in the mix, making it really unique.

Did you pick up polishes from Essie's Winter 2014 Collection?  Which one is your fave?

Essie Parka Perfect

Hey Dolls

I picked up Parka Perfect a while ago and just got around to swatching it.  It is a beautiful muted blue with grey undertones and the sweetest little flakies swimming around.  I used Wet n Wild Going Platinum from the Fergie Collection on my ring finger.

I don't often buy Essie and I'm not sure why because I absolutely LOVE the few that I own!

Color Club Apollo Star

Hey Dolls!

I picked up a gorgeous set of Color Club polishes at Winners, but none of them have labels, so I don't know the names.  I looked on their site and I think this pretty champagne silver is called Apollo Star.  Does anyone know this polish?

I don't think it's meant to be a textured polish, but it dried that way.  I actually can't get over how much I love this polish.  Usually nudes make me have lobster hands, but not this bad boy!

I know I will wear this a lot this Winter!

Twinsie Tuesday Something New

Hey Dolls

For Twinsie Tuesday this week the theme is 'Something New'.  I knew right away that I wanted to try the Water Fall Nail Art from The Nailasaurus.  It's new and fresh and I loooove the design.

This was my first try and I did it on my 7 day old mani.  Yes you read that right!  This is the longest I've ever worn a polish for and I only had a bit of tip wear and growth, not even one chip!  I liked the first try so much I decided to just use this for my mani this week.  I will for sure be doing more of these!

My base is Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine in Prickly Pear.  For my stripes I used China Glaze For Audrey and Peachy Keen, and Clinique Strappy Sandals.  I used a thin brush for the stripes, next time I will do them thinner so I can add more lines.

Twinsie Tuesday Revisited

Hello hello,

I think this week's TT theme is a great one, it's Twinsie Tuesday Revisited.  That means we each get to go back and re-do the previous mani of our choice.  I went back to Feb 2012 which was "Franken polish".

Gosh Holographic Hero is a silver linear holo.  The rainbow isn't super stong in this holo, but it's definately there.

I mixed NYC MoMa with HH and it made the most beautiful purple color!  The only problem was that it lost almost all of the holo effect.

Even though the rainbow disappeared, I still really like how this turned out!

Twinsie Tuesday, Funky French

We are swatching Funky French's for this edition of Twinsie Tuesday!   I was pretty excited about this one!

I did a chevron french using Essie Jamaica Me Crazy as my base, and Sinful Colors Out of This World for the tip.  I free handed the chevron, so it is a little wonky.  I was going for a bit of a sheer look on the tips, but ended up more opaque than others.  Oh well right?!!

Twinsie Tuesday Tape Mani

This weeks edition of Twinsie Tuesday is Tape Mani's.

I have never tried a tape mani before, and I can say that this was suuuuper hard.  I tried so many different ways and hated all of them!  I finally settled for what I've got going in these pics.

I used LA Girls Extreme, Joe Fresh Starry and W&W Black Creme.

I can't wait to see what the others have come up with this week! Check, check, check it out!

Very Cherry

I came across Very Cherry today by Sally Hansen and had to pick it up.  It was on sale :)

Under my lamp it looks a lot more red than it actually is.  It's mostly pink, with lots of lovely silver shimmer.  It's sort of a mix between a glitter and a foil.

In the the beautiful sunlight we're having in BC right now!

And this one shows the sparkly silver shimmer!

Celeb City

A festive silver foil for Christmas.  I think this is my first foil polish, I didn't really like them before, but they are definately growing on me.

This is Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Celeb City.  The formula was great, a perfect one coat.  A few streaks, but nothing major.

And this is my little Loralai's matching fingies with mine (she's 8)!  She just had her first mani-pedi at a birthday party she went to.  Can't wait to go with her next time!
