Finger Paints Rockin Renaissance

Hiya Dolls

I had no idea when I bought Finger Paints Rockin Renaissance from Sally's the other day that it was a textured polish.  It looked so amazing in the bottle but I was shocked when I was putting it on.  Even though I'm not a huge fan of textured polishes, Rockin Renaissance is flippin amazing.

There is so much gorgeousness going on here!  I mean....look at it!

Of course I had to put a top coat on (two actually) and if I thought I loved it before, now I've died and gone to heaven!  I bought it for that gold flakie goodness that I saw in the bottle, but I had no idea that it would be this stunning.  I think it's the textured chunky finish that makes it have so much depth.

Would you just look at it?!

Ah-mazing.  I cannot get enough of Rockin Renaissance.

Color Club Apollo Star

Hey Dolls!

I picked up a gorgeous set of Color Club polishes at Winners, but none of them have labels, so I don't know the names.  I looked on their site and I think this pretty champagne silver is called Apollo Star.  Does anyone know this polish?

I don't think it's meant to be a textured polish, but it dried that way.  I actually can't get over how much I love this polish.  Usually nudes make me have lobster hands, but not this bad boy!

I know I will wear this a lot this Winter!

Twinsie Tuesday Transition to Fall

Hiya Dolls!

For TT this week, we are showing you a polish that transitions from Summer to Fall.  I'm not one to totally follow the seasonal polish trends, but I have to say that I'm ready to start rockin some Fall vampy shades.

This is Sand Lacquer Purple/Gold, Love & Beauty by Forever 21.  This is my third sand polish and I gotta say, I'm really liking them!  Purple/Gold was a one coater, my fave!

And with two coats of top coat.

Barry M Kingsland Road

Hiya Dolls!

It's Twinsie Tuesday again and today we are showing you a Beach themed mani.  The weather here in Southern BC isn't very 'beachy' yet, but once that sun comes out I will be spending my whole Summer at the beach!

My Mom just got back from a trip to England and my lovely cousin picked out a few polishes to send home with her.  I asked for Barry M's of course, and she picked out the most perfect ones for me!  I chose a textured polish to show you today that goes along with our beach theme.  Kingsland Road is a soft pink that reminded me of a pink sand beach.  One day I WILL visit a pink sandy beach, it's on my list.

Application was great, I did three very thin coats and it dried pretty quick.  Removal wasn't too bad either, a little harder than a cream, but nothing like a glitter!

Be sure to check out the other Twinsies, I'm guessing that there is going to be some fun nail art this week!

Twinsie Tuesday Textured Nails

Hey Dolls!

I really wish that I had taken a trip to Sally's and picked up a new textured polish for the challenge this week.  Instead, I used what I had on hand, which was Martha Stewarts "Flocking Powder".  I am a scrapbooker, so I had this on hand and decided it was time to try the 'velvet mani' look.

I painted my nails with China Glaze Dance Baby, and while it was still wet, I poured the pink powder over my nail.  At first I was like 'oh heck no', but I gotta say, it really grew on me (for the 10 minutes that I wore it).  At arms length this fuzzy look was kinda cool.  It's when you get close up to it that it starts to look sort of creepy!  Have any of you tried the velvet mani?

OPI The Impossible, Liquid Sand

Hiya Dolls

I am showing you my first liquid sand polish!  It's from the Mariah Carey Collection.  My polish swap friendo Nory from Feirce Makeup and Nails sent this to me and I love it!  It is no where near as gritty as I thought it would be, but still has a really fun texture.

This was so easy to apply, two coats gave me enough opacity.  I heard that these take a while to dry, so I waited about 5 minutes between the two coats.

There is a lot going on in this polish!  In the pink/coral jelly base there is microglitter, silver hex glitter and large stars.

The removal wasn't as hard as I thought it would be either, much easier than removing regular glitter.  Have you all tried the new textured craze?
