Black Glitter Skittles

I have been loving the swatches of Illamasqua Speckled everywhere lately!  I don't have access to this brand nearby, so I imitated it with the polishes that I had on hand. 

 

The black glitter is L.A. Girl Glitter Addict Uninhibited.  Uninhibited has tiny black glitter and medium sized black hex glitter.  It is super jam packed with the glitters, so i had to dab it on rather than swipe.

 

Each nail has a base color, one coat of glitter and then they all have a coat of OPI Don't Touch My Tutu over top.  On my pointer is Revlon Dreamer. Middle finger is Sinful Colors Sweet Tooth. Ring finger is OPI My Very First Knockwurst, and my pinky is Color Club Blue-ming.

 

 

I was so excited when I saw this next polish by Love & Beauty (Forever 21) but once it was on, I didn't really love it.  Rose/Red (such a dull name) felt very chunky on my nails.  My base coat is Zoya Dita, and while this IS a gorgeous pink, I think I should have used a different color.  Rose/Red has a lot of different glitters going on!  It has lots of multi-sized irridescent shards, small silver glitter, red square glitters and large red hearts.

NYC Lincoln Square Lavendar

The sun is shining again in BC, so that calls for a beach day!  Here, I'll show you some pics before I go...

This little pretty is NYC Lincoln Square Lavendar.  Three thin coats make it opaque and beautifully smooth.  It's definately shows as a pink cream on the nail, but has a hint of lavendar as well.



It was begging for a little sparkle.  So I added a coat of L.A. Girl Scandal.





Jumble

I am so thankful for the Summer weather we are getting in Southern BC.  Finally!

I've got a lovely jumble of polishes to show you today.  I have Wet and Wild Blue Wants to be a Millionaire layered over Wet and Wild Black Cream.

This is the pretty lilac jelly from the OPI Ballet Collection.  Care to Danse looks more pink on the nail than purple, but it's still very pretty.

And I reswatched my namesake Grape Fizz by Revlon.  This is such a hard polish tophotograph.  I feel like it just doesn't capture the beauty of this lovely polish.  The soft mini flakies just float around in this gorgeous jelly base.  Plus it smells like grape gum!

Twinsie Tuesday Tape Mani

This weeks edition of Twinsie Tuesday is Tape Mani's. 

I have never tried a tape mani before, and I can say that this was suuuuper hard.  I tried so many different ways and hated all of them!  I finally settled for what I've got going in these pics. 

I used LA Girls Extreme, Joe Fresh Starry and W&W Black Creme.

Twinsie Tuesday Nude Polish

Hiya friends!

Twinsie Tuesday is here again, and this week we are swatching a nude polish.  I decided to make my own nude this week.  I have been loving the new OPI ballerina polishes, the grey is my favorite.  So I tried to recreate it using LA Girls Fairytale and some clear polish. 

This pic makes it look very sheer, but in real life it was much more grey.

Hello hello

Trying something new to me today with my stamps... using a few drops of different colors on the plate.  I think it turned out pretty cute.  The base is LA Girls Fairytale, and I stamped with SH Whirlwind White and Sinful Colors Dream on.  Not sure what no. the plate is.
