Morgan Taylor Lots of Dots

I picked up my first Morgan Taylor polish at Sally's and it's so cute.

Lots of Dots is a clear polish with multi colour small matte hex glitter.

I found it easiest to apply the glitter with a makeup sponge to get a good amount on there.

OPI Abstract Nail Art

 pr samples

Hey Dolls!

I saw this beautiful abstract nail art on Instagram by @SafinaNailStudio and had to recreate it on my own nails.

My base coat is OPI My Vampire is Buff and I used Flip Flops & Crop Tops, Rich Girls and Po-Boys, I'm Getting a Tan-gerine and Angel with a Leadfoot.  I added some gold foil and used a matte top coat for this look.

Here she is shiny.  Which do you prefer?

Heroine Her Matte-jesty Swatches and Review

PR SAMPLES

Hello Lovelies!

I have the new Heroine New York City Her Matte-jesty top coat to show off today!  I was sent this fun matte top coat and knew right away what polish I wanted to matte-ify!

This gorgeous combo is Her Matte-jesty over top of Wine at Midnight.  I love how velvety it makes this classy red look.  Her Matte-jesty was easy to use and dried super quick.  I loaded up my brush and did about 3-4 swipes on each nail.

I also wanted to see it over something sparkly, so I put it over top of Gold Digger.  It softened the shine of the glitter a lot and it ended up looking like a textured polish even though the finish was quite smooth to the touch.

You can purchase Heroine polishes on their website here.

Have a great day loves!

Matte Nude and Sparkle

Hey Dolls!

Hope your Summer is going fabulously!  I haven't had much time for swatching this Summer, I've been sorting, cleaning and packing for our move at the end of this month.  How on earth am I going to move my polishes?  Does anyone have any tips for me?

I rarely ever mattify my mani's, I have such a hard time covering up anything that is shiny!  I was in the mood for a matte mani though so I pulled out Excuse Me, Big Sur! from the OPI California Dreaming Collection for Summer 2017 (see my swatches of the full collection here) and Ce-less-tial is More from the OPI Starlight Collection 2015 (see my swatches from the full collection here).  I used OPI's Matte Top Coat on top.

Have a great day lovelies and hit me up with some tips if you've ever moved your polish collection!

Sinful Colors Kylie Trend Matters

Hey Dolls!

I was so excited when I saw a huge display of Sinful Colors Kylie polishes at Superstore (Canada)  the other day.  I didn't even know there was a collab!  I only picked up two polishes so far, there were so many gorgeous ones, but I had to restrain myself.

I think there are a few different Kylie Collections, the two I picked up are from the Demi-Matte collection.

Kashmere is a lovely pale lavender grey with very fine gold shimmer.  The formula is fantastic, great coverage and easy to work with.  I used two coats for perfect opacity.  Unfortunately, that shimmer does not show up on the nail.  Even without that shimmer, this color is fabulous.

Here is Kashmere with top coat.

Karma is a beautiful orchid purple with gold shimmer.  The shimmer does show up in this one thankfully!  Another god formula, almost a one coater.

Have  you guys picked any of these up?

Have a great day loves!

Wet n Wild LAC - My Mani?

Hey Dolls

I was super intrigued when I saw this matte finish Wet n Wild polish on one of my shopping trips to the States.  I haven't even heard of these yet here in Canada.  I picked up this lovely soft yellow color called LAC My - Mani?  (Hate that name).

Formula was a pain in the butt, really patchy.  I needed three coats to even things out, but the bonus is that it dries super quick.  I obviously did not use a top coat and this polish held up for 6 days!  For reals.

Matte and Shiny Nails, Twinsie Tuesday

Hey there Dolls!

Hope you all had a wonderful Easter weekend!

I am so glad that I finally did a matte and shiny mani, why has it taken me this long to try it?  The first matte and shiny mani I saw was all black, and I have wanted to try it for 2 years now!

I used Wet n Wild Black Creme and Essie Matte About You for my mani.  I used washi tape for the chevron design.

Grunge Nails, Twinsie Tuesday

Hey Dolls

This weeks TT theme is Grunge Nails.  I was excited to give it a try!

I started off with OPI Can't Find My Czechbook and then swiped on a few Color Clubs, Blue-ming, Express Yourself, Raspberry Rush and then some black and white polishes.  I finished off the look with Essie Matte About You.

I think Chalkboard Nails came up with this design.

Fuchsia Fever Maybelline Microbeads Mani

Hiya friends, hope your weekend was filled with fun things!

I've got another microbead mani to show you.  I picked up a new color from the Maybelline Color Show line the other day, it was only $2.99!  For Canadian pricing, that is really cheap for Maybelline.  We usually pay $7.00.

I chose Fuchsia Fever, and it is a gorgeous fuchsia polish that dries to a satin finish, almost matte.  The formula was ok, but this is 3 thin coats and there are still bald spots.

The microbeads are from a set I picked up a while ago, it came with 6 different colors, and this was a pretty good match to Fuchsia Fever!  The macro pics show up all the bald spots where the beads didn't stick, but as usual, in real life it wasn't noticable.

Have you guys tried any colors from the Color Show line yet?

Dotty

I gave dots a try.  They were obviously really easy to do, and I think they looked cute in real life!  I used Essie Better Together for my base, 3 coats.  And for the dots I used, Revlon Coral Me Wild, Essence Choose Me, and L.A Girls Fairytale.

Mattified

And Essie Better Together on it's own.  I really really really loved this soft jelly pink.  After 2 coats it still wasn't opaque, but I actually liked seeing my nail line!!

Electric Blue

Happy Leap Year Day!

I've got another Billie polish to share with you!  This is called Electric Blue.  I love the flash of purple shimmer in this pretty blue.  These Billie's are so easy to apply, and they dry suuupa quick too.  This is 3 really thin coats.

It doesn't dry completely matte, more of a 'pearl' finish.  Next pics are with topcoat.

Choose Me, Essence

S'up ladies ?!  I have Choose Me by Essence today.  It's another polish from my swap with Nory, she picked some awesome polishes for me!

Choose Me is a pretty turquoise, jelly-ish base with tons of gold and blue glass flecks floating in it.  It went on so nicely, 2 thin coats.

I put a coat of Essie Matte About You, cuz I really wanted to see what this would look like mattified.  I really liked the look of it matte, and I wore it like that for a while, but then put a shiny top coat on and watched it come alive again.

Twinsie Tuesday Matte Polish

 Happy Twinsie Tuesday Ladies!

This week is a Matte polish.  I chose Powder Puff, because well, I'm a little obsessed with it right now!  It is a Revlon from their Matte Suede collection.  I also have Fire Fox (see it here) from the collection and love that one too!  There is a really pretty blue shimmer in Powder Puff that can be seen in direct sunlight.

Looking foward to seeing what the other twinsie ladies swatch!  Go check em out too!

Revlon Fire Fox

Revlon Fire Fox is a super pretty reddish coral that is supposed to be a matte polish.  While it's definately not a gloss finish, there is a sheen to it.  I played around a bit with Essie Matte about You, a shiny top coat, some glitter and a coat of SV.

Here is Fire Fox on it's own:

Here it is with  a coat of Essie Matte About You

Here it is with a glossy top coat of Wet and Wild

I love how this brings out the lovely glowy glitter in Fire Fox

And with a bit of Milani Gold Glitz on the tips, and SV.

So let's see, this is 7 coats of polish!  It was fun :)
