Twinsie Tuesday, Saran Wrap Mani

Hiya Dolls

It's Saran mani's this week at Twinsie Tuesday!  I have attempted this look once before, but it was a major fail.  This time was better!  It reminds me of stone.

I used Essence Chic Reloaded as my base coat.  I picked this up the other day and it is a really gorgeous duochrome finish!  Looks mostly black but flashes a brilliant pinky-purple and then green. I dabbed on Sally Hansen Whirlwind White with the saran wrap.

Essence, Grey-t to be Here

I was so happy to find Grey-t to be Here in my local Essence display the other day.  I have seen some lovely swatches of it around and knew I HAD to have it.

Grey-t to be Here is a beautiful grey cream with lovely little glass flecks that change from pink to orange depending on what light you are in.  So pretteh...

It applied so perfectly and dried really quick.  The 'colour & go' slogan is true!  2 smooth coats and it was opaque.  Perfect!

Essence, Gorgeous Bling Bling

Helo hello,

I hummed and hawwed over this Essence polish in Shoppers Drugmart the other day.  The gorgeous flakies are what got me immediately, but the I wasn't fond of the color.  I wore it for a day, and it was ok, but I was ready to take it off!

Gorgeous Bling Bling (weird name) comes in the new Essence bottles.  It's a pretty unique polish, an interesting burnt (dirty-like) orange color with gold flakies.  I pretty much can NEVER pass on a flakie polish!

The formula was fantastic, 2 really easy coats and it dried supa quick!!

So what do you think, are you on the fence like me?  Love it or hate it?!

Where Is The Party?

It's Friday ya'll and I'm looking forward to a beach day today!  But before I go, here is a swatch of Essence Where Is The Party?

WITP is a purple to green duochrome.  As soon as I saw this in the store, I HAD to grab it.  Lucky, cuz it was the last one on the shelf.  Are ALL Essence displays completely picked through everytime you see one or is it just mine?

This polish had so many different looks, no 2 lighting situations were the same.  Sometimes this polish looked all purple, sometimes greyish, sometimes green.  It has a frosty feel to it, so it was a bit streaky.

Patriotic Mani, Twinsie Tuesday

We celebrated Canada Day on July 1st, with rain and fireworks! So typical! Haha

Today is my youngest daughters 8th birthday, so Happy Birthday Nalaya!

And happy 4th of July to you Americans tomorrow!

So to show our patriotism to our countries, this week for Twinsie Tuesday we are swatching a patriotic mani!

I used SH Whirlwind White and Essence Glamorous Life.  2 coats of each

Can`t wait to see what the other Twinsie`s came up with!

Essence, A Lovely Secret

Shoppers Drug Mart in Canada recently got the Essence brand of polishes.  This girl is super happy about that!  I picked up A Lovely Secret right away.

A Lovely Secret is a beautiful lavendar polish with a gorgeous pinky/purple shimmer.  But the interesting thing with this polish is that it also has some matte flecks through out it as well.  They look like tiny grey specks.

I really love soft colors like this, and I love that it's unique with the shiny and matte shimmer.

Dotty

I gave dots a try.  They were obviously really easy to do, and I think they looked cute in real life!  I used Essie Better Together for my base, 3 coats.  And for the dots I used, Revlon Coral Me Wild, Essence Choose Me, and L.A Girls Fairytale.

Mattified

And Essie Better Together on it's own.  I really really really loved this soft jelly pink.  After 2 coats it still wasn't opaque, but I actually liked seeing my nail line!!

Choose Me, Essence

S'up ladies ?!  I have Choose Me by Essence today.  It's another polish from my swap with Nory, she picked some awesome polishes for me!

Choose Me is a pretty turquoise, jelly-ish base with tons of gold and blue glass flecks floating in it.  It went on so nicely, 2 thin coats.

I put a coat of Essie Matte About You, cuz I really wanted to see what this would look like mattified.  I really liked the look of it matte, and I wore it like that for a while, but then put a shiny top coat on and watched it come alive again.
