I finally picked up Essie Ballet Slippers the other day. It's such an iconic shade and I decided that it needed to join my collection! I love a sweet, milky pink and this one is just that.
I needed three coats to get the opacity that I like. There still is a bit of nail line showing but I like that look with these kind of squishy pinks.
Is Essie Ballet Slippers in your collection?

I don't think that Ballet Slippers was made to be used opaque. The idea is to show that the nails are clean and tidy.
ReplyDeleteFor sure! I just like to have a little more coverage than I got with just two coats as my nails are stained quite a bit from wearing so much polish! ;)
DeleteBallet Slippers was one of the first polishes I bought when I got into polish. Your mani of it is fantastic! I've gone through three bottles of it. The strange thing is, the color seems to change in each bottle. Nothing radical, just some seem a touch pinker or paler. The formula has never been the greatest, or at least the bottles I've gotten. But still... It IS iconic for a reason.
ReplyDeleteI totally know what you mean, I've noticed that with a lot of Essie polishes actually! My bottle of Essie Lilacism isn't even purple, it's like a dusty blue! So strange hey? I can imagine that I will have to repurchase Ballet Slippers at one point, it's such a perfect milky pink!
