Glam Polish Dance With Dragons Swatches and Review

*samples

Hey Dolls!

Man, it feels so good to be back on here with a post!  I had a semi truck drive past my house and tear down my cable wire, so I've been without internet, phone and cable for two weeks now!  I feel in touch with the real world again, ha!  I've been dying to show you the new Glam Polish Collection: Dance With Dragons!  I have five of the ten polishes to share with you and these are available now on their website Glam Polish.

These are the absolute best color shifting (polychromatic) polishes that I've ever had the pleasure to wear!  The shift is unbelievable.  Each polish has holo flakies and holo micro-glitter, I mean... does it get any better than that?  Every formula was fantastic, two easy coats.  I topped each polish with two coats of topcoat, as the micro-glitters are a bit bumpy.

The Lion and the Rose has a stunning purple-magenta to gold to green shift.  Perfect formula, two easy coats and topcoat. This beauty is my fave of the Collection.

This is the same polish in daylight, look at that beautiful green shift!

The Mountain and the Viper as an aqua-green to royal to blue shift.  You can see the color shift really well on the sides of my nails in this picture.

Rains of Castmere has a gorgeous deep purple to blue to a slight goldy-pink shift.  I wore this one for 5 days and couldn't stop staring at them!

Kissed by Fire has a burgundy to bronze shift that is absolutely stunning!  This was another fave of my mine from this collection.  This one was so pigmented that you can get away with one coat!

This photo was taken in natural lighting and you can see the beautiful burgundy to bronze shift.

The Wars to Come is a little different than the other four.  This one is a bit more sheer and has tons and tons of flakies in it!  I needed three thin coats to get perfect opacity.  It has a really pretty teal to purple shift.

You can purchase Glam Polish on their website here, and their polishes are $12.00 each.  This collection is Limited Edition.

Which one of these is your favorite?

Have a great day lovelies!

GERmanikure Nail Files Review

SAMPLE

Hiya Dolls!

I have been using GERmanikure nail files for a couple of weeks now and loving them.  They are a Florida based company that ethically make crystal glass nail files and cuticle nippers.  The cuticle nippers are handmade by skilled, fairly paid adult artisans in Solingen, Germany.

I only use glass nail files when I file my nails (I never use nail clippers).  You can see my full nail routine here.  These nail files are great quality, the grit is super fine and leaves your nails with a smooth sealed edge.  I have sued many nail files over the years and some nail were so rough that they were tearing up my nails.  Not all files are created equally that's for sure!  You can definitely tell that GERmanikure are good quality.

I have never owned cuticle nippers before since I don't ever cut my cuticles, but these have actually come in handy!  I use cuticle softener once a week and push back my cuticles, and these nippers are great for just getting in to take away the cuticle bits that slough off.  I've always been a bit scared of nippers, I've heard some horror stories!  These nippers are extremely sharp so use caution!  You should never ever cut your live cuticle!

You can purchase GERmanickure products here.

New OPI Nordic Collection for Fall/Winter 2014

PRESS SAMPLES

Hiya Dolls

I have three polishes from the new OPI Nordic Collection for Fall/Winter 2014 to share with you today.  This is such a gorgeous collection with twelve new shades inspired by the 'great northern lights in Finland, deep blue fjords in Norway, and colorful houses in Copenhagen' according to OPI.

First up is Do You Have This Color In Stock-holm?  This is a stunning violet purple cream!  The first coat looked like it was going to be a jelly finish, but the second coat made it perfectly opaque.

Next is OPI With A Nice Finn-ish.  In the bottle this looked like a metallic gold, but I love how it's pulling quite bronze/copper on the nail.  Two easy coats and not many visible brush strokes for a metallic!

The last polish I have to show you is Thank Glogg It's Friday.  I really love all the pink shimmer in this wine-raspberry color.  This is a one coater Dolls!

The Nordic Collection will be available in select stores and salons in by August 6, 2014.  There are some real beauties in this collection, are there any catching your eye?

Hiya Dolls

I have some gorgeous nail wraps to show you today from Scratch.  I was super excited to get the chance to try out these nail wraps.  They have so many fun designs to choose from.

I chose M Loves Floral which is a super pretty mix of florals and polka dots in purple, green and white.

I am on day three of wearing these and I have no chips at all, just a little bit of tipwear.  They were super easy to apply, and I did put a topcoat on just to seal all the edges.  Definitely recommending these!

They retail for $12.00 and you can purchase them at Scratch online.

3D Nail Charm Mani, Born Pretty Store

Hey Dolls!

I have a gorgeous 3D Nail Charm to show you today from Born Pretty Store.  I have seen so many fun 3D mani's around that I wanted to try it out myself!  These are definately not for everyday wear, but are super cute for a night out on the town.

To attach the charm to my nail I just put a thick coat of my quick dry topcoat, waited about 30 seconds and then pressed it on.  It worked perfectly and I had to actually pry this off my nail a couple hours later.

The gorgeous sunny yellow on my pinky finger is OPI I Just Can't Cope-acabana, my middle and ring finger is OPI Sorry I'm Fizzy Today, and my pointer finger is Joe Fresh Starry.

You can find these nail charms at The Born Pretty Store here.  You get 2 charms and there are lots of different styles to choose from.  I think they are a super fun way to spice up a mani.

Animeniac Cosmetics Polish Review

Animeniac Cosmetics is a gorgeous, fun nail polish line that is inspired by anime, manga, comics, gaming and sci-fi.  I am super excited to show you a few of their polishes today.

Crazed Fandom

Crazed Fandom has big pink and white hex glitter, big square and small hex purple glitters and some lovely small holo square glitter!  This was an instant favorite of mine, I love soft looking glitters.  Application was a breeze, I used two coats here.  OPI, My Very First Knockwurst is my base.

 S.H.I.P

S.H.I.P has turquoise, aqua and periwinkle glitters in a clear base.  The soft aqua glitters are my fave in there.  It was so easy to apply, this is only one coat!  I love how jam packed the glitters are!  Rimmel Blue Eyed Girl is my base.

Browser Babe

Browser Babe has large hot pink and turquoise hex glitter in a clear base.  I loved that the hot pink hexes were holo.  There is tons of glitter in there, but it did require a few dabs to get the hexes on some of the bald spots.  These hexes are a really fun look!  China Glaze, For Audrey is my base.

 Cherry Maiden

Cherry Maiden is an exclusive polish from their new collection that has not been released yet!  It is a fabulous mix of red, gold and holo glitters in multiple shapes and sizes.  This is one coat of Cherry Maiden and it wasvery easy to apply.  OPI, My Very First Knockwurst is my base.

Overall, I am super impressed with these glitters.  They all dried very quickly and needed a top coatAll Animeniac polishes are "3 Free" and really great quality.  The glitters were suspended perfectly, with no settling.

Check out their site Animeniac Cosmetics and if you see any that catch your eye, I have a coupon code for you to use at checkout GRAPEFIZZ25.   This will give you 25% off your entire order!!

Stamping Plate from Born Pretty Store, Review

I have been wanting some new stamping plates for a while now, so when Born Pretty Store said I could choose anything from their online store, I knew right away what I wanted!

I chose the  42 Cute Patterns Quadrant Nail Art Stamp Plate CK-02, and it only took about 2 weeks to get to me (that is really great considering Canadian Customs can be time consuming!)  I was so excited to try out the 42 designs on the plate. They are so detailed and crisp.  The first one I tried are these cute little randomly placed triangles.

I have really long nail beds so some of the designs didn't fit on my nail in one go.  I just lined it up and did a seperate stamp for each nail.

You can buy the stamping plate from Born Pretty Store for $8.53, and they offer free world wide shipping!  It is sooo worth it!

If you are going to get something from Born Pretty Store, please use my coupon code KSL91 below for 10% off your order.  They have some awesome stuff!
