Essie Angora Cardi

Hello Dolls!

Essie Angora Cardi has been on my wishlist for so long and I finally own it!  Essie's were 50% off the other day at Superstore, so of course I had to pick it up.

Essie Angora Cardi is a dusty, burgundy cream.  The formula is so perfect, if you do it thick enough, it is a one coater!

Do you have any Essie's on your wishlist?

Have a great day loves!

Burgundy Glitter Skittles

Hiya Dolls!

This skittle mani is looking very Christmas-y and I'm loving it!  I've been loving burgundy polishes lately, and I think they are a great transition color for Fall to Winter.

That gorgeous burgundy is Sally Hansen Miracle Gel in V-ampified.  The silvery-gold glitter is OPI Super Star Status and the beautiful white (with a hint of grey) is I Cannoli Wear OPI.

And just for fun-zies, I mattified it with OPI Matte Top Coat.

Do you prefer it shiny or matte?  I definitely like it shiny the most.

Have a great day my lovelies!

Essie Toggle To The Top

Hey Dolls

While I was in Palm Springs I picked up Essie Toggle To The Top (on sale for $4, woo hoo).  I have wanted Toggle To The Top for a long time so I was super excited to find it on sale.

Toggle To The Top is perfect for this time of year.  I think I will be wearing this a lot over the Christmas holidays.  Formula was super fantastic, I could have gotten away with one coat (but I always do two for good measure).

Do you own Toggle To The Top?

Vampy Thanksgiving Mani

Hiya Dolls

We just celebrated Thanksgiving weekend here in Canada, and I am utterly stuffed!  The weather is starting to feel more Fall-like so I wanted to wear a vampy mani for the weekend.

On my pointer, pinkie and thumb nails, I wore OPI I Sing In Color.  On my middle finger I am wearing OPI Love, Angel, Music, Baby and on my ring finger I am wearing OPI DS Extravagance.

I'm off to the gym now!

OPI Gwen Stefani Collection Swatches and Review

Press Sample

Hey Dolls

I am so super excited to show you two polishes from Gwen Stefani's new Collection with OPI.  I was so excited for this collection, I have always loved Gwen and her music!

First up is Love Angel Music Baby which is a stunning champagne gold with incredible shimmer.  It dries (very quickly!) to a satin finish. The formula was awesome, it could definately be a one coater!  I used two coats for these pictures.

I added  top coat for a shiny finish and the shimmer really came alive!  This is definately going to be my go-to gold from now on.

I Sing In Color is a gorgeous vampy burgundy cream.  The formula was great, I used two coats for perfect opacity.

I had to do a little nail art with these two gorgeous colors!  I used washi tape for the triangle on my middle finger.

What polishes from Gwen's Collection will you be picking up?

OPI Just A Little Rosti At This with Excuse Moi! Accent Nail

Hey Dolls!

I may have gone a little crazy when I found OPI's on a MAJOR sale at the mall the other day.  I may or may not have bought 11 of them!  The first 2 I chose to wear are Just A Little Rosti At This which is a lovely maroon red cream, and Excuse Moi! which is a really fun glitter.  Excuse Moi! has small multi colored hex glitter and micro glitter in a pink jelly base.

I did a coat of Excuse Moi! over Just A Little Rosti At This.  I can't wait to try Excuse Moi! on it's own.

Orly Galaxy Girl

Hiya Dolls

You need to just prepare yourself for this bottle shot!

This is the kind of polish that I have to try to contain myself when I see in store!  I almost squealed out loud when I found Galaxy Girl in Winners!  That color shift is to die for!

Three coats and this was opaque and super smooth, and very awesome.

Galaxy girl has a very deep purple/burgundy base with amazing color shifting glass flecks.

Seriously look at this!

Now this last picture is what the polish looks like in most lights.  Dark burgundy with teal shimmer.  I can't get enough.

Do you all love it as much as I do?  If you don't, you're crazy ;)

Twinsie Tuesday, Ruffian Mani

I was so looking forward to this weeks challenge, until I actually sat down to do it.  This Ruffian Mani is hard!  This was my second try, and I decided to only do it as an accent nail!

I just could not get that line smooth.  Regardless of that I love the colors together!  My Very First Knockwurst by OPI is the dusty nude and the ruffian burgundy is Anti-Bleak OPI from the Mariah Carey collection.  Anti-Bleak is less burgundy and more purple in real life.

Hoping the other Twinsie's had more luck than me this week!

Twinsie Tuesday Stripes

Hello hello and welcome to Twinsie Tuesday!

This week is polka dots and stripes.  Normally, I would be all over some polka dots, but this week I chose stripes because I have my first magnetic polish to show you guys (I know, I'm super behind on that band wagon!).

This polish brand is SUZY, which is a clothing store in Canada.  They have quite a few fun polishes, so when I saw this magnetic one, I was so excited to try it!  It was pretty easy to use, just one coat and then put the magnet over top for five seconds and voila!

Please check out the other Twinsie's to see whether they are sporting dots or stripes!

OPI, Every Month is Oktoberfest

Besides being absolutely flippin gorgeous, this polish means a lot to me.  My good friends Amanda from Amandalandish and Nory from Fierce Makeup and Nails sent me this polish as well as 3 other gorgeous polishes in a special package.  I feel so blessed to have good friends that are there for me in a time of need, and a nail package and beautiful card, meant a lot.

Every Month is Oktoberfest (Germany collection) is a stunning burgundy/purple polish with loads of shimmery goodness!  It changed so much in every lighting sitch.  I love polishes like that.

Wined and Dined, Color Show

Happy Monday ya'll

After seeing Maribeth's lovely swatches of Wined and Dined by Maybelline, I knew I had to have it!

It's from their new Color Show Collection.  It's one of those polishes that to see it on the shelf I would have never picked it up.  I'm so glad I did, because I loved it on the nail and couldn't stop staring at them!

Love the pretty purple flecks in there!

OPI Vampsterdam, Holland Collection

I have OPI Vampsterdam from the Holland Collection to show you today.  Nory sent me this and I loooove it.  The formula was great, 2 easy coats.  It has a bit of a metallic feel, so there are a few brush strokes visible.  I wore this for 4 days, and didn't have one single chip!  A little tip wear, but that was it.  I love OPI's for that.

This burgundy brown has a look of shimmer to it, when you look close up at the bottle you see streaks of the tinest silver shimmer I've ever seen, looks like silver dust.  So pretty.

Do you have any colors from the Holland collection?

Cloud Mani

Hello Lovelies,

I tried a cloud mani!  I'm not sure who came up with this cute design, but I absolutely love it!  My girls will definately be sporting some cloud mani's soon!

The burgundy base is Avon Midnight Plum, the first cloud is Loreal Party Hop and the pink part of the cloud is Avon Cotton Candy.

Next time I'll use more opaque colors.  I had to do the coats quite thick to get coverage, so the whole mani ended up being too thick for my liking.

This is the first set of clouds using Party Hop

And here is Midnight Plum on it's own.  This polish was super streaky and left bald spots after 3 coats.  Annoying!
