Wedding Nails, Neutral Gradient

Hey Dolls!

I have a soft, neutral gradient mani to share with you today that I think would be perfect for the upcoming wedding season.  It is super soft and romantic with the peach tone, while still looking crisp and clean with that bright white.  I created this for a wedding manicure collaboration with Salon Supply Store.

The colors I used are OPI Stop I'm Blushing! and Essie Private Weekend.  I used a sponge and Liquid Palisade (see my review here) so the gradient was a breeze.

For my own wedding 14 years ago, I wore a classic french manicure.  What did you wear for your wedding day, or what WILL you wear on your wedding day?!  Have a great day loves!

Sally Hansen Play It Neutral This Summer 2016

PRESS SAMPLES

Hiya Dolls!

I have 6 Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure polishes to share with you today and they are all neutrals for Summer!  The 88 shades in the Complete Salon Manicure collection have a formula that incorporates a keratin complex to help reinforce nail strength.  It boasts up to 64% stronger nails and up to 10 days of chip-resistant wear.

Shell We Dance?  is a verrrry sheer bone white shade.  I used 3 coats and it didn't build the color up much but helped with the streakiness.  It dried super quick in between coats which is a bonus.

Sweet Talker is a sheer soft pink.  I think this is the perfect 'bridal' color!  Again, I used 3 coats to help with streakiness.

Arm Candy is a sheer bone white that is so similar to Shell We Dance?  I used 2 coats and topcoat for my swatch.

Nude Awakening is a Canadian Exclusive Shade! Go Canada!!  It's a gorgeous latte colored cream with a perfect formula.  I ended up doing 2 coats but you can easily get away with 1.  It has a mauve undertone which I love!

Au Nature-al is a sheer peach cream.  It had a great formula, 2 coats and no streaks.

Pink Pong (cutest name!) is a dusty mauve pink that I can't seem to get enough of this year!  The formula was great, 2 easy coats.

You can purchase Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure polishes at Superstore, Walmart and London Drugs in Canada and they retail for $9.50

Have a great day loves!

GERmanikure Nail Files Review

SAMPLE

Hiya Dolls!

I have been using GERmanikure nail files for a couple of weeks now and loving them.  They are a Florida based company that ethically make crystal glass nail files and cuticle nippers.  The cuticle nippers are handmade by skilled, fairly paid adult artisans in Solingen, Germany.

I only use glass nail files when I file my nails (I never use nail clippers).  You can see my full nail routine here.  These nail files are great quality, the grit is super fine and leaves your nails with a smooth sealed edge.  I have sued many nail files over the years and some nail were so rough that they were tearing up my nails.  Not all files are created equally that's for sure!  You can definitely tell that GERmanikure are good quality.

I have never owned cuticle nippers before since I don't ever cut my cuticles, but these have actually come in handy!  I use cuticle softener once a week and push back my cuticles, and these nippers are great for just getting in to take away the cuticle bits that slough off.  I've always been a bit scared of nippers, I've heard some horror stories!  These nippers are extremely sharp so use caution!  You should never ever cut your live cuticle!

You can purchase GERmanickure products here.

Gradient Manicure, Liquid Palisade Review

Hey Dolls!

I have a gradient/glitter/messy polish game changer for you guys!  I think I'm a little late to get on this band wagon, but oh man, I am ON IT now!  Kiesque, Liquid Palisade is like painter's tape for the nails!'  You can use it to get a nice clean line around your cuticles whether you are using glitter or just wanting a nice crisp line without the need for clean up!

I knew right away that I wanted to try a gradient using Liquid Palisade.  I love the look of gradients but loathe the clean up!  This makes it an absolute breeze!  First, you paint the Liquid Palisade all over your cuticles and let it dry.  You know it's dry when it turns a darker purple.

Once it's dry you paint/dab away with your regular polish and then just peel away the Liquid Palisade to reveal a perfectly crisp polish line!  So easy right?

I also received a French Manicure Liquid Palisade that has a long thin brush that you can use right on your nail to create an easy french manicure tip.

So how many of you have already used this product?  I am so glad that I found it and that it's actually easy to use and works perfectly!

You can purchase Liquid Palisade at Sephora.com and they retail for $17.00 cnd

New OPI Spring 2016 Collection

PRESS SAMPLES

Hiya Dolls!

I am so excited to show you the gorgeous new OPI Infinite Shine Spring 2016 Collection.  I am so impressed with the Infinite Shine polishes, this line feels so luxurious.  All the formula's in this eight polish collection are to die for, so easy to work with and perfect in two coats.

First up is In Familiar Terra-tory, a stunning terracotta-coral cream.  This is my 'second fave' polish in the collection, it's sooo good!  This was almost perfect in one coat, but of course I did two for my pics.

Reach for the Sky is a stormy grey-blue cream and it's my fave of the collection.  It's perfect for Spring in BC, we get a lot of grey rain clouds at this time of year!   I have been wanting a dusty blue polish for a while now so I was so ecstatic when I saw this beauty!

This beautiful pop of purple is called Don't Provoke the Plum.  This was another one that was almost a one-coater, but do two anyway so you get the full effect of that gorgeous purple!

Sunrise to Sunset is a lovely tangerine cream.  Such a happy shade!

It's Pink P.M. is a whimsical pale pink.  For a shade with so much white in it, it has an amazing formula.  Be sure to use thick coats, it can handle it!  Two is all you'll need!

Rose Against Time is a sweet, bright rose-pink cream.  All the heart eyes for this shade!

Olive for Green is a.... yup, you guessed it, olive green cream!  The formula is so perfect, you can easily get away with one coat.

Half Past Nude is a lovely rosey-nude cream.  I always love a good nude with a great formula!

You can find this collection at select stores and salons across North America.  They retail for $12.95 CND.

What do you guys think of this collection?  Which polish is your fave?  Let me know in the comments below!

OPI Soft Shades Spring 2016

PRESS SAMPLES

Hiya Dolls!

I have the new OPI Soft Shades Spring 2016 to share with you today!  I love the Soft Shades Collections so much, they are always so dreamy.  There are six new pastel cream shades in this lovely collection.

First up is This Cost Me a Mint, a beautiful soft pastel green.  The formula on this was fantastic, two easy to work with coats.

One Chic Chick is a sweet soft yellow that has a dusty feel to it.  This is very unique to my collection and I'm totally feeling it!  Formula again was fantastic and for a soft yellow, that's pretty fabulous!  Two easy coats.

I Am What I Amethyst is a stunning pale lilac.  The formula is perfect, two easy-peasy coats.

Stop I'm Blushing! is a gorgeous pastel peach cream.  The formula on this one was a little tricky, I needed three coats to even everything out.  That color is worth it though!

It's A Boy! is a creamy soft blue.  The formula was a bit patchy, so I needed  three coats to even everything out.

Last, but not least, we have It's in the Cloud, a gorgeous white cream.  I have quite a few OPI Whites, but this isn't a dupe for any of them.  It has a bit of a grey tint to it, but not as much as My Boyfriend Scales Walls.  It also has a slight peach hue to it, but not quite as much as Be There in a Prosecco.  I needed three coats to make this even.

Which one is your fave?  Mine has to be I Am What I Amethyst, I love soft purples!

OPI polishes can be found in select stores and salons across the country.
