Fuchsia Fever Maybelline Microbeads Mani

Hiya friends, hope your weekend was filled with fun things!

I've got another microbead mani to show you.  I picked up a new color from the Maybelline Color Show line the other day, it was only $2.99!  For Canadian pricing, that is really cheap for Maybelline.  We usually pay $7.00.

I chose Fuchsia Fever, and it is a gorgeous fuchsia polish that dries to a satin finish, almost matte.  The formula was ok, but this is 3 thin coats and there are still bald spots.

The microbeads are from a set I picked up a while ago, it came with 6 different colors, and this was a pretty good match to Fuchsia Fever!  The macro pics show up all the bald spots where the beads didn't stick, but as usual, in real life it wasn't noticable.

Have you guys tried any colors from the Color Show line yet?

Skittles Mani, Twinsie Tuesday

Hey hey heeey!

Twinsie Tuesday is here again and we are rocking a skittle mani this week.  I played around with a few different polishes and didn't love the result.  So I ended up with this:

On my index finger I'm wearing Revlon Valentine, it's a lovely red jelly that builds opacity quickly, this is 2 coats.  On my middle finger I'm wearing Revlon Cherries in the Snow, a beautiful reddish/pink creme, 2 coats.  On my ring finger, I'm wearing Revlon Coral Me Wild, a gorgeous coral creme, 2 coats.  And lastly, on my pinky I'm wearing Essie Secret Story, which is pink jelly perfection in my opinion!

I can't wait to see what the other ladies are wearing this week, I love skittle manis.

Cinderella Dupe, maybe.

Hello Luvlies

Sanx to everyone who entered my giveaway.  I'm so excited to now have over 300 followers!  The winner of the 2 Billie polishes is Madeline, I've sent an email out to her.  Congrats!

So this is my take on Cinderella by Sinful Colors.  I used Sephora by OPI's Havana Dreams, I needed 4 coats of this.  It may the the runniest, watery-ist polish I own, but once it reaches opacity it is gorgeous.  And then I put one coat of Revlon's Colada Fizz on top.

I don't own Cinderella yet, but when I do, I will do a comparison.  I think Colada Fizz has bigger glass flecks than Cinderella, and Colada is straight silver/white flecks, which I think Cinderella's glass flecks shine a bit orange?

What do you guys think?

Twinsie Tuesday Tape Mani

This weeks edition of Twinsie Tuesday is Tape Mani's.

I have never tried a tape mani before, and I can say that this was suuuuper hard.  I tried so many different ways and hated all of them!  I finally settled for what I've got going in these pics.

I used LA Girls Extreme, Joe Fresh Starry and W&W Black Creme.

I can't wait to see what the others have come up with this week! Check, check, check it out!

Fish Eggs, Caviar, micro beads

I tried my first micro bead mani!  I hear there is a lot of controversy going on right now with the 'caviar' look!  I just found these beads the other day and wanted to give them a try.

When I first saw these mani's, I have to admit, I though they were a bit redonculous!  Buuut, now that I am rocking it on my hands, I think it's actually pretty dang cool.

The beads are waaay smaller looking in real life, and they stay stuck on really well.  I think it's looks cute on an accent nail.

The pastel green is Mint Sorbet by Sally Hansen.  And why the heck didn't I use a silver under the accent nail?  Next time folks.  Live and learn.  Macro really shows up those spaces between the beads, it's not noticable in real life.

Thanks to everyone who entered the giveaway.  Comments are now closed and I will pick a winner this week fo sho.  Stay tuned

Twinsie Tuesday Nude Polish

Hiya friends!

Twinsie Tuesday is here again, and this week we are swatching a nude polish.  I decided to make my own nude this week.  I have been loving the new OPI ballerina polishes, the grey is my favorite.  So I tried to recreate it using LA Girls Fairytale and some clear polish.

This pic makes it look very sheer, but in real life it was much more grey.

Please check out the other lovely Twinsie Tuesday ladays"

Joe Fresh Frost

Hello friends!  Twinsie Tuesday is here!

This week we are showing our "go-to mani"  I knew right away what polish I would use.  It is Joe Fresh Frost.

If I want to do a quick mani just to look polished, I paint on something light.  It can be any color, as long as it's pale.  I find the clean up so much easier!

Frost is a beautiful milky white/pink with pretty gold and silver shimmer flecks.

Please go and check out the other Twinsie Tuesday ladies...they are all fabulous!
