Maybelline Color Show Mauve in Manhatten

Hiya Dolls!

I have been into all the "grandma" colored polishes this Fall!  I don't consider Maybelline's Mauve in Manhatten a grandma color, but my hubs does!  I consider it very chic!

The formula was really great, two easy coats.  Wear time was great as well, no chipping, just a little tipwear after a few days.

Have a great day my lovelies!

Maybelline Colorblur Swatches and Review

PRESS SAMPLES

Hey Dolls

I have a couple of the new Maybelline Colorblur Cream Matte Lip Pencils to show you today! They come in 10 beautiful shades.

These lip pencils are PIGMENTED!  Like seriously opaque and beautiful.  They glide on super creamy and smooth and dry to a matte finish.  On the other end of the pencil there is a silicone smudger that you can use to blur the product from the middle of your lips to the outer edge.

They have really great staying power, I ate and drank while wearing it and didn't even need to touch up.  I actually needed to remove them with makeup remover to get it off!

I have three of the Baby Lips Moisturizing Lip Glosses in Just a Glimmer, Lilac Lumi and A Wink of Pink.  There are 12 shades in the collection, in 3 finishes: Creams, Shimmers and Jellies.

These glosses have a clear (jelly) tinted base with iridescent glitter.  The glitter does give a slight texture. They are super shiny on the lips but don't really give any color payoff.  I think these would look very pretty layered over lipstick.

I am so excited about these Lasting Drama Waterproof Gel Pencils.  These are sooo creamy and pigmented.  They glide on so smooth, no tugging whatsoever.  I don't know about you but I am always on the hunt for a great liner pencil.  I can't stand pencils that I have to sharpen, so the fact that you can roll these ones up is a huge bonus!

I will definitely be picking one up in black as that is my fave color to wear.  The Lasting Drama pencils boast up to 16 hours of waterproof wear.  I didn't have any fading or smudging and had to remove this with my makeup remover!

Maybelline products are available in most drugstores including Walmart, Superstore and London Drugs.

Maybelline The Blushed Nudes, Mink Lust

Hiya Dolls

I picked up this gorgeous new Maybelline polish the other day.  It's from The Blushed Nudes Collection and it's called Mink Lust.  It's a soft dusty mauve and it is gorgeous!

The formula was so easy to work with, I used two coats.  I'm on day three now of wearing it as a full mani and there are no chips in sight!

Did you pick up any polishes from The Blushed Nudes Collection?

Maybelline Bleached Neons Coral Heat

Hey Dolls

I have another Maybelline Bleached Neon to show you.  I picked up Coral Heat and it sure is a stunner!  I had so many compliments while wearing it.

Formula wasn't the best, a bit thick and streaky but after 3 coats, it looked great.

I love every color in this collection, I think it is such a cool way to wear neons this Summer.  I just haven't been able to find the green or blue shades anywhere.  Which color is your fave?

China Glaze Secret Peri-wink-le and More

Hey Dolls

I've got a few random polishes to show you today.  I picked these up in stores here and there over the last couple weeks.

First up is China Glaze Secret Peri-wink-le.  I love the shade periwinkle, and while I have a few shades of periwinkle that I like, I feel like this is the perfect one!  Two coats for my swatch.

Next is Maybelline Hibiscus Haven.  You know me and my pinks, this one had to come home with me!  Two smooth coats.

I love this gorgeous grape color by NYC called Jam & Nap.  This was in a new NYC display at my Walmart. Again, two coats but this dried really quickly so I had to work fast.

Last but definitely not least is this lovely, new lavender by Sally Hansen called Water Orchid.  I know Sally Hansen has replaced some of their core line and I'm wondering if this is the new Lacey Lilac.  Anyone know?  It's very similar either way.

Favorite Glitter Topper, Twinsie Tuesday

Hey there Dolls

We are showing off our favorite glitter topper polish today for TT.    I find myself reaching for  Nicole by OPI Stars At Night a lot lately.  I wouldn't say it's my fave glitter of all time, but it's definately my fave right now.

I know most people aren't a fan of bar glitter, but I have really grown to love it.  Stars at Night has silver and holographic bar glitters in a clear base.  I dabbed some on my tips over top of Maybelline Lust For Lilac (another fave polish of the moment!).

Winter to Spring, Twinsie Tuesday

Hey Dolls

For TT today we are sharing a polish that we think is the perfect Winter to Spring mani.  I wore a lot of mauves and deep purples this Winter, so sticking to that color scheme I chose Maybelline Lust For Lilac which is a lovely bright lilac pink that is perfect for Spring.  Lust For Lilac really leans pink on me.

Purple and Black Glitter

Hey Dolls

I feel like this mani has a bit of a rocker vibe to it!  This gorgeous purple cream is Sally Hansen No Hard Feelings.  And on my ring finger is Maybelline Black N Mirrors.  This is just one coat of Black N Mirrors, the glitter is so dense in the Brocades polishes.

Have you picked up any of the Brocades polishes?

Maybelline Color Show Gilded Rose

Hiya Dolls

I am toasty warm in my slippers and sweater, drinking a tea with cream and honey, listening to carols while the snow gently falls outside!  It finally feels like Christmas!

I have searched for the Maybelline Brocades for a while now, I even made a trip to the States looking for them (I do a monthly grocery shop there) but they were no where to be found.  So when I saw them at Superstore the other day, I tried not to make too much of a scene :)

The two that caught my eye are Gilded Rose and Black N Mirrors.  Gilded Rose has multi-sized pink glitter in a gold micro-glitter base.  And let me tell ya, these are jam-packed with glitter.  I used two coats for my swatch.  And I wore it for 3 days and only had one chip!

Have you picked up any of the Brocades?

Twinsie Tuesday Cloud Mani

 Hiya Dolls

This weeks TT theme is Cloud mani's.  I started with a base coat of Maybelline Color Show Wine & Dined.  The first layer of cloud is Jessica Summer Lovin which is a pretty peach leaning nude.  My last layer of cloud is OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls, which is my fave white polish.

Twinsie Tuesday Ice Cream Mani

Hiya Dolls

This week for Twinsie Tuesday the theme is Ice Cream.  I am not a huge fan of ice cream, is that weird?  I never eat it at home.  Or with pie.  The only way I will eat an ice cream is if I'm out somehwere and there are waffle cones.  The waffle cone is the best part!

It was my bday last week and a friend of mine gave me Drops Of Jade by Maybelline.  Right away this polish looked like Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream to me.  I knew it would be perfect for today's post.  I did two coats for this swatch, it could have used a third/

Clinique Yellow Genius Mix and Match Mani

Hi Dolls!

I have pretty Clinique polish to share with you today.  This creamy yellow is called Yellow Genius.  Formula was fantastic, this is two thin coats!  No streaks at all!

I had a little fun and mixed up this mani.  On my pointer I added one coat of Maybelline Polka Dots Clearly Spotted.  I LOVE this glitter topper!  I put a cute bow from The Born Pretty Store on my middle finger.  My ring has three thin coats of Joe Fresh Starry.  And I added a coat of Orly Crazy Diamond to my pinky.

Do you guys like the look of a mix and match mani as much as I do?

Keep Up the Flame, Maybelline Swatch

Another Maybelline Color Show polish to show you today.

This gorgeous red jelly/cream is going to be my go-to Christmas red.  The formula was amazing, 2 coats that went on like butter.  Smooth and shiny, no need for a top coat.

This next photo is in the sun and is the most color accurate.

I picked up this next glitter polish at an earring store called Ardene (like a Claire's).  They have a few fun polishes there, this one is called Queen of Hearts.  Small red glitter with big red hexes, again, perfect for Christmas.

Maybelline, Boho Gold

I am loving me some Maybelline Color Show polishes lately.  Their new limited Fall edition collection is fabulous!  I picked out Boho Gold the other day, and even though the duochrome is way cooler in the bottle than it is on the nail, I still love it.

I used 3 coats for these photos.  The formula was pretty thin, but I was careful to not put too much on the brush, so I didn't get any pooling around my cuticles.

Maybelline Blue Freeze

I am not a huge fan of blue polish, but when I saw Blue Freeze, I knew I wanted it for Fall.  I am loving Maybelline's new colors!

Blue Freeze has a dark blue base packed with blue, purple and pink glass flecks.  This polish really glows!

Wined and Dined, Color Show

Happy Monday ya'll

After seeing Maribeth's lovely swatches of Wined and Dined by Maybelline, I knew I had to have it!

It's from their new Color Show Collection.  It's one of those polishes that to see it on the shelf I would have never picked it up.  I'm so glad I did, because I loved it on the nail and couldn't stop staring at them!

Love the pretty purple flecks in there!

Styled Out, Maybelline

Ahhh Monday's.  I love them.  Seriously.  It's when I get my house back in order from the weekend, and plan and organize my week.  Looks like lots of beach days ahead with my girlies!  I love Summer time.

I am so in love with Styled Out.  It's from the Maybelline Color Show Denims collection.  The formula was so amazing.  I could have gotten away with just one coat but for some reason that just didn't feel right?

It's a beautiful deep denim blue with fabulous silver shimmery shimmer :)  It dried on the matte side.

Here it is with a top coat.

And with a glitter coat of Wet & Wild Light With Caution.  There's a lot of fun glitters in LWC.  I see big gold and Pink hexes, and smal blue, green, pink and gold squares.
