Orly Cupcake Swatch and Review

Have I found the perfect milky pink?  I sure have!  Orly Cupcake is so pretty and has the best formula.  Usually milky colours are so streaky, but this is only 2 coats.  I made sure to let the first coat dry for 5 mins before putting on the second coat and it was perfection.

Orly Frenemy

Hope you all had a very Merry Christmas!  The Holidays got away from me and I didn't have much time to do my nails.  We had a wonderful Christmas with family and it actually snowed, so we finally had a white Christmas!

My daughter Loralai bought me Orly Frenemy as a Christmas present, and it is so gorgeous!  It has flakies and holographic micro glitter in a black base.  Formula was easy to work with,  I used three coats to make it opaque.

Now I need to play around today and come up with a New Year's Eve mani!  We are hosting a party for our daughter's friends for New Year's Eve, so we will have 8 tweens running around tomorrow night!  Should be fun!

Happy New Year to you all!  Thank you for all the love and support you gave to me in 2015, I appreciate each of you and always love reading your comments when you stop by!

Orly Mirrorball

Hey Dolls

I can't believe Christmas is almost here!  I am so not ready, why do I do this to myself every year? Ha!  Well at least my nails are ready for Christmas!

I went to Sally's the other day and saw the Orly Holiday 2014 Collection.  I picked up three polishes, Mirrorball, Explosion of Fun and Bling.

Mirrorball is a gorgeous silver holo with larger holo glitters mixed in.  I have nothing like this in my collection so of course I had to grab it (good thing they were on sale!).

I needed three coats of Mirrorball as the formula is quite sheer.  It dried super quick though, so no biggie.

I bruised my cuticle the other day on my ring finger!  It reeeeaaally hurt.  At least I didn't break a nail!

Orly Two-hour Lunch

Hey Dolls

Last week I went on a last minute trip with my friend to Palm Springs with her kids and my girls.  We had the best time and it was wonderful to get some sun and visit with my friend and her kids!  I feel refreshed!

Whilst shopping away in Palm Springs, I of course picked up a few new polishes.  First one to show you is Orly Two-hour Lunch.  I'm not even sure how to describe this pink other than it is gorrrrrgeous!

I need to have a swatch-athon pretty quick here, the polishes are piling up!  Stay tuned :)

Peach and Glitter

Hey Dolls

When I saw V-AIR-Y SPARKLY by A.co I knew right away that I wanted to pair it with a peach polish.  Orly Prelude To A Kiss was the perfect peach.  I love how it turned out.  I wouldn't normally think of peach for Fall or Winter, but somehow with the gold, it works.

V-AIR-Y SPARKLY has large white and gold hex glitter, small white glitter and small white bars.  I think it is just so fun and festive.

What other colors do you think I should wear with V-AIR-Y SPARKLY?

Twinsie Tuesday Rainbow Nails

Hi Dolls!

I've got some fun pastel rainbow nails to show you for Twinsie Tuesday this week.  This weeks theme is different for everybody, we were given 'marching orders' by another Twinsie.  My orders came from Chelsea and she asked me to do a rainbow gradient.  I've never tried a rainbow gradient before, and I love how it turned out!

I used a base coat of OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls (my fave white) and then I painted stripes of color on a sponge and dabbed away.  The colors I used are Revlon Pink Chiffon, Orly Prelude To A Kiss, Orly Jealous, Much? Revlon Dreamer and OPI Planks A Lot.

And I couldn't resist adding a little somethin-somethin, so I did a light dusting of China Glaze Fairy Dust on top.

Orly Androgynie

Hey Dolls!

I can't believe I've had Orly Androgynie sitting on my untried shelf for long.  This polish is so gorgeous.  There are blue, green and orange hex glitters along with gold flakies and tiny holo glitters in a soft black base.

Do you guys have Androgynie and love it like me?

Twinsie Tuesday You Tube Inspiration

Hiya Dolls

For TT this week, we were supposed to get our inspiration from You Tube.  I have wanted to try the Vintage Floral look for a long time, so I knew right away what tutorial I wanted to use.

The six polishes I used for this look are Sinful Colors Snow Me White, Zoya Dita, Barry M Pink Flamingo, China Glaze For Audrey, Orly Prelude To A Kiss and Jealous, Much?

This took me so long to do!  I think the end result is rediculously sweet!  I just wish I would have done smaller roses and more of them.

Be sure to check out the other Twinsie's mani's this week:

Clinique Yellow Genius Mix and Match Mani

Hi Dolls!

I have pretty Clinique polish to share with you today.  This creamy yellow is called Yellow Genius.  Formula was fantastic, this is two thin coats!  No streaks at all!

I had a little fun and mixed up this mani.  On my pointer I added one coat of Maybelline Polka Dots Clearly Spotted.  I LOVE this glitter topper!  I put a cute bow from The Born Pretty Store on my middle finger.  My ring has three thin coats of Joe Fresh Starry.  And I added a coat of Orly Crazy Diamond to my pinky.

Do you guys like the look of a mix and match mani as much as I do?

Orly Peaceful Opposition

Hey Dolls

Back in the Spring I bought Orly Peaceful Opposition from Sally's.  PO is such a pretty polish, it feels very whimsical to me.

Peaceful Opposition has hex and square silver glitters in a milky pinkish-grey base.  For my swatch I did a coat of white polish first, then 2 thick coats of PO.

Shimmer Lorene

I was so thrilled when the creator of Shimmer polishes asked me she could send me some to review.  I have seen these little beauties all over the nail blogs lately, and let me tell you, they do not disappoint!

The first Shimmer I decided to wear is Lorene.  Lorene is so colorful and sparkly (well they ALL are very sparkly).  Lorene has large gold and orange hex, medium sized blue, red, green, gold and purple hex and micro red, blue, purple and gold glitters.  I am sure that I have missed some glitters there somewhere, they are so complex.

I sponged Lorene on the tips over Orly Fiesta.

And this glitterbomb is just two coats of Lorene over Fiesta.  Application is a breeze, the glitters just glide on evenly, no fishing or dabbing required at all.

Look at all those yummo glitters!

I love that I don't have to be afraid of removal of glitters anymore thanks to the tin foil method.  You all know about this right?  Changed my polish life!  I use a cotton ball dipped in acetone, wrap each finger with a bit of tinfoil, and leave it on for about 2 minutes and the glitter just slides right off.  I would like to try the white glue base for glitters, have any of you tried that yet?

Shimmer Polish can be purchased from Shimmer's Etsy Store, or on her website Shimmy Shimmer.  They are $12 each and worth every penny!
