Hard Candy Jaw Breaker

Hey Dolls

I had to pick up this new Hard Candy polish the other day called Jaw Breaker.  I'm a sucker for black and white glitters, and I loved that this one is a bit different with small green bar glitter mixed in as well.

I paired it with Barry M Pink Flamingo.  It's not very 'Fall-y' but I don't often match my nails to the seasons.

Purple Stripes

 Hey Dolls!

This stripey mani is what I wore on our Thanksgiving weekend.  I got my inspiration from @cassondrafaye and @lafemmelulu on Instagram for this mani.  There are so many talented nail artists on Instagram.

My base coat is OPI My Very First Knockwurst.  I taped off 1/3 of each nail and did a coat of Zoya Aurora and (I'm not totally positive about this since it was so long ago now, but I'm pretty sure it's) Barry M Prickly Pear.

What do you all think of tape mani's?  Do you love them as much as I do?

Twinsie Tuesday You Tube Inspiration

Hiya Dolls

For TT this week, we were supposed to get our inspiration from You Tube.  I have wanted to try the Vintage Floral look for a long time, so I knew right away what tutorial I wanted to use.

The six polishes I used for this look are Sinful Colors Snow Me White, Zoya Dita, Barry M Pink Flamingo, China Glaze For Audrey, Orly Prelude To A Kiss and Jealous, Much?

This took me so long to do!  I think the end result is rediculously sweet!  I just wish I would have done smaller roses and more of them.

Twinsie Tuesday Something New

Hey Dolls

For Twinsie Tuesday this week the theme is 'Something New'.  I knew right away that I wanted to try the Water Fall Nail Art from The Nailasaurus.  It's new and fresh and I loooove the design.

This was my first try and I did it on my 7 day old mani.  Yes you read that right!  This is the longest I've ever worn a polish for and I only had a bit of tip wear and growth, not even one chip!  I liked the first try so much I decided to just use this for my mani this week.  I will for sure be doing more of these!

My base is Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine in Prickly Pear.  For my stripes I used China Glaze For Audrey and Peachy Keen, and Clinique Strappy Sandals.  I used a thin brush for the stripes, next time I will do them thinner so I can add more lines.

Twinsie Tuesday Splatter Mani

Hiya Dolls

For TT today we all tried our hand at a Splatter Mani.  I played it safe and just used black and white for my splatter effect.

My base coat is Barry M Gelly in Prickly Pear which is the most gorgeous lavender.  I splattered Wet & Wild Black first using the straw method and then OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls next.  Two generous coats of my fave top coat NYC Grand Central Station made it nice and smooth.  I really love how this turned out.

Twinsie Tuesday International Choice

Hi Dolls

This week's Twinsie Tuesday theme is a fun one for me.  It's International Choice, and because I live in Canada (most of the Twinsie's live in the States) I get to choose the theme for my group.  We have two other international Twinsie's, Elizabeth and Roisin, and they have their own groups as well.

For my theme, I chose BC's National Tree which is the gorgeous Dogwood Tree.  Too bad my nail art doesn't do it proud, but I tried!

My base color is Barry M Pink Flamingo.  For the flower I used China Glaze Something Sweet and Clinique Hula Skirt.

Be sure to check out the other Twinsie's, and see which ones are doing my theme!

Barry M Kingsland Road

Hiya Dolls!

It's Twinsie Tuesday again and today we are showing you a Beach themed mani.  The weather here in Southern BC isn't very 'beachy' yet, but once that sun comes out I will be spending my whole Summer at the beach!

My Mom just got back from a trip to England and my lovely cousin picked out a few polishes to send home with her.  I asked for Barry M's of course, and she picked out the most perfect ones for me!  I chose a textured polish to show you today that goes along with our beach theme.  Kingsland Road is a soft pink that reminded me of a pink sand beach.  One day I WILL visit a pink sandy beach, it's on my list.

Application was great, I did three very thin coats and it dried pretty quick.  Removal wasn't too bad either, a little harder than a cream, but nothing like a glitter!

Be sure to check out the other Twinsies, I'm guessing that there is going to be some fun nail art this week!

Twinsie Tuesday, Vintage Mani

Hello hello!

I love the theme for this weeks Twinsie Tuesday post: A Vintage Mani.  I love vintage ANYTHING!

I Googled 'vintage nail polish' and came across this super cute design:

Who knew that a half moon mani was vintage?  Not this girl anyway.

Here is my take on this cute nail style.  I think my squared tips makes it look more modern, but I wasn't willing to taper them!!

I used OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls for the base coat.  I taped off the half moon using a circle sticker and taped off the tips with some washi tape (washi tape is so perfect to work with because it's not as sticky as scotch tape)  I painted the middle with a coat of Berry by Barry M.  I love this pretty lilac-pink.

Be sure to take a peek at my Twinsie's vintage mani's too!

Barry M, Berry

Thanks again to the lovely Nory for sending me my first Barry M polish!  Eeeeee, so excited.  I wore this for a week straight, I couldn't bare to take it off.  I feel like this purple toned pink was the perfect match for my skin tone.

It's a cream that glides on so smooth like butter!  2 easy coats, and it was shiny enough without a top coat.

And a few days into this mani I added Finger Paints Motley on top.  This flakey is absolute heaven to look at!
