Grey Skittles

Hiya Dolls

I've got another skittle mani to share with you.  I cannot get enough of these babies lately.

On my pointer finger I'm wearing Nicole by OPI My Empire...My Rules.  My middle finger is OPI French Quarter For Your Thoughts.  My ring finger is OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls, and my pinky finger is Joe Fresh Silver Glitter.

Do you all wear skittle mani's?

Twinsie Tuesday Two Year Anniversary

Hey Dolls

Yes, today is actually Thursday, but we are doing a special edition of TT.  It has been exactly two years since we all joined Twinsie Tuesday and we have been assigned a Twinsie to replicate their first TT mani.

My Twinsie is the lovely Rachel from Top Coat It.  I was pretty nervous about having Rachel, because she is a queen at nail art!  But lucky for me when I checked out her first mani, it was just a lovely polish and glitter!

I used two Revlons for my mani, Minted and Heavenly.

Here is Rachel's mani:

Clinique Shades Of Beige Nude Enamel Collection

*PR Samples

Hiya Dolls

I am thrilled to share Clinique's Shades Of Beige Enamel Collection with you today!  I recieved seven of the eight polishes in this fabulous collection to review.  Clinique's A Different Nail Enamel for Sensitive Skins are all dermatologist tested, ophthalmologist tested and appropriate for sensitive skins and sensitive eyes.  I have to say that I am in love with all of them, there is just something so classy about nude shades.

First up is Room Service.  This is a lovely off-white jelly.  It builds up nicely in three coats.  I will be using this on all my jelly sandwich nails!

Peek A Boo I See You is a soft peachy-nude.  I think this shade would be perfect for anyone's complexion.  I loved that it leaned very peachy on me.

Birthday Suit is the absolute perfect nude!  It was so great with my skin tone, I think I have finally found the best nude for me!  Birthday Suit is quite opaque, two coats completely covered my nail line.

Pajama Party is a pretty, mauve-leaning jelly.  It built up nicely in three coats, but could be worn more sheer with just one or two layers.

Do Not Disturb is a deep nude cream with pink undertones.  Two easy coats was all I needed for perfect coverage.  I really like the way this looks on my skin tone.

Tickle Me is a lovely deep nude with orange/pink undertones. Perfectly opaque in two coats.

Chocolate On My Pillow is a real stunner!  A dark chocolate brown with the most gorgeous shimmer running all through it.  So yummy!

So which one is your favorite?  What one do you think would go best with your skin tone?

Nail Care Routine

Hey Dolls

We have something different for Twinsie Tuesday today.  We are telling you our nail care routines.  I am pretty picky when it comes to caring for my nails and cuticles!  I don't think I could ever let anyone do a mani on me ever again!

My number one tip would be to MOISTURIZE.  I really feel like that is key to healthy strong nails.  I take a lot of supplements and eat really healthy, so that is a good place to start as well.  I know some ladies take Biotin for healthy nails, I haven't tried that yet.

About once a week when my nails are getting too long I give myself a full manicure.  I start by filing the length of my nails a bit.  I never use nail clippers!  I use a glass file to take down the length and then a very fine grit file to seal the edges.

Next I use a cuticle remover and gently push back my cuticles (I also push my cuticles back everyday in the shower).  The remover I'm using right now is SuperNail Cuticle Softener and Remover from Sally's.  I rinse my hands and put on a lotion and cuticle oil right away.

And that's about it!  I would say that it's the everyday care that is most important, lots of moisturizers and of course be very careful with your nails, don't use them as tools!

Looking forward to seeing what the other ladies routines are:

Nicole By OPI New Core Shades, 2014

**Press Release

Hey Dolls

I have three of the new core shades from Nicole by OPI to share with you today!  There are so many beautiful colors to choose from, my three picks are Yoga-Then Yogurt, I'll Have The Salmon and Fabulous Is My Middle Name.

First up is Yoga-Then Yogurt, a lovely white cream.  Application was perfect easy, two thin coats.

My year long hunt for the perfect peach polish is finally over thanks to I'll Have The Salmon.  It is so soft and lovely, and there is a tiny bit of shimmer in it as well.  I used three thin coats, and even though there is still some VNL, I love it!

Last but definately not least, we have Fabulous Is My Middle Name.  This is a party in a bottle!  I have been so into bar glitter lately, so this is right up my alley!  There is magenta, red and blue bar glitter along with silver micro glitter.  So fabulous!

Are any of these catching your eye?

Brazil by OPI Collection

**Press Release

Hiya Dolls

I have two press release polishes from the new Brazil by OPI Collection to show you today!

First up is I Just Can't Cope-acabana, which is a stunning sunshine yellow cream.  Application was so easy (especially for a yellow).  I know I will be wearing this a lot this Summer!  I used two coats for my swatch.

Next Stop...The Bikini Zone is described as an amethyst-toned pewter.  The duochrome is so lovely and unique, the edges show a pretty beige color!  And it totally matches my amethyst ring that I wear everyday!  I used three coats for my swatch as the polish is a little sheer.

These are an unlikely pairing, but I actually LOVE them together!

Brazil by OPI will be released this February 2014!

Seasonal Gradient, Twinsie Tuesday

Hey Dolls

We are showing you a Seasonal Gradient this week for Twinsie Tuesday.  I know that it's still early Winter and Spring is a while away, but I had to do something to incorporate Spring as the weather is so beautiful right now in BC.  The sun is shining and things are greening up and my bulbs are sprouting already.

I used Essie Rock The Boat and Clinique Hula Skirt with a dusting of China Glaze Fairy Dust on top.

Nicole For OPI Carrie Underwood Collection

Hiya Dolls

I am so excited to show you two polishes from the Nicole For OPI Carrie Underwood Collection!

First up is Carrie'd Away.  Carrie'd Away is a stunning gold glitter.  The glitter is actually little glass flecks and they are spectacular!   While it has a gold overall-look to it, there are some white-silver glass flecks in there also that give it beautiful depth!  I used three thin coats to get the opacity that I like.  This could also be used as a glitter topper.

Next up is this gorgeous hot-pink cream called Color Me Country.  Application was so smooth and creamy, I used two coats for perfect opacity.

Tape Mani with OPI Love Angel Music Baby

 Hiya Dolls
I had to do some  nail art again using OPI Love Angel Music Baby.  I cannot get enough of this shimmery champagne gold!

I did a simple tape mani, my trick is to use washi tape, it has a paper-y feel to it and it has just the right amount of 'stick'.

The gorgeous pink cream base is Finger Paints Louvre This Pink.

Twinsie Tuesday Inspired By A Family Member

Hiya Dolls

Today's Twinsie Tuesday is inspired by a family member.  I chose two of my family members, my two lovely daughters!

The pink polish is Color Club Wicker Park which I showed you all the other day.  The pink is inspired by both of my girlies, and the gold accents are to represent how fun and priceless they are!  I used some gold foil on my middle finger, and this gorgeous gold glitter Bare It All by Pure Ice on my pinkie.

Please be sure to check out the other Twinsie's mani's this week!

Revlon Brilliant Strength Provoke

Hey Dolls

That was really cool to hear that some of you have heard of the brand Pa from my last post!

I've got a pretty orange from Revlon to show you today.  I feel like this orange has a real vintage vibe!  Application was ok, I needed three coats for the opacity that I like.  I find most oranges need three coats to even out.

Have a great Monday!

Pa, Polish from Japan

Hey Dolls

I have some polish to show you all the way from Japan!  We had our first foreign exchange student stay with us last February.  She stayed for one month, it was such a great experience for my two daughters.  'Yurika' was 15 years old and she quickly became one of the family!  In the Summer she came back on her own for a month to stay with us.  She sent us the sweetest package at Christmas time and she included some fun nail goodies for me!

There are no names for these polishes, but the brand is called Pa.

I love this juicy watermelon color!

And this pretty shimmer pink really reminds me of my childhood!  This is the kind of color I always wore.

Has anyone ever heard of this brand before?

Color Club Girl About Town

Hiya Dolls

I have three more polishes to show you from the Girl About Town Collection by Color Club.  I have been wanting The Uptown for a while now, I am such a sucker for a good flakie polish.

The Uptown has gorgeous flakies that shift green to orange to pink in a purple jelly base.  This polish is even more fabulous in person!

Wicker Park is a bright pastel lavendar that leans pink.  Application was so great, this color is highly pigmented and there were no streaks at all.

I am still on the fence about Pearl District.  I'm not a fan of these kind of colors and I don't think it's very flattering on my skin tone.  Color Club describes this color as the stone Tigers Eye.  Application was easy, I used two coats for this swatch.

East Austin and Nicole for OPI Stars At Night

Hiya Dolls

I added some sweet bar glitter to my East Austin mani from the other day!  I have been wanting OPI's Which Is Witch for a long time now and of course I can't find it anywhere, so when I saw Nicole For OPI Stars At Night from the Selena Gomez Collection I snatched it up!  It's definately not the same, Which Is Witch has holo glitter and large holo hexes with small bar glitters, while Stars At Night just has holo bar glitter, but it'll do!

I really fell in love with this combo!  I think I will like most cream polishes with Stars At Night.
